A few of my favorite activities are, billiards, martial arts, swimming, working out, and fishing. That's the stuff I do most often anyway. I've made decent money in tournaments and taken money from stupid people who wanted to put down money on a rack cause they weren't as good as they thought. I'd like to start doing that again. Martial arts for me is a good way to release any anger I've pent up. I enjoy sparring and have pretty good stand-up skills, but hitting and getting hit hurts and I've had the broken bones from it. Nowadays I focus more on takedowns, throws, and various locks. Basically stuff that the cops use. I'd rather use those techniques anyday. I love to work out and swim. I sleep so much better if I get at least 90 minutes a day, 7 days a week, of moderate to heavy exercise. I never feel ill. I love fishing and plan to do a bunch this spring and summer while I still have an indiana license. I also like growing watermelons and other vegetables. A few other things I enjoy once in a great while are snorkeling, rappeling, hiking, flying (as a passenger cause I have no license), and skydiving.
Music
I'd have to say that the Red hot chili peppers are my favorite band. They lyrics make very little sense and the sound is awesome, thats what I like. I'm also a fan of Rammstein and love to crank it up loud cause it pisses people off. Other than that I listen to classic rock and heavy metal, even country on occasion, but I fucking hate hardcore metal that sounds like nothing but noise and screaming and gangster rap. If I wanted to listen to rap I'd just throw a pair of shoes in the dryer.
Movies
I'm a big fan of comedies and anything that makes me laugh. A few other favorites of mine are, Shawshank redemption, tigerland, platoon, half baked, full metal jacket, flight of the navigator, legends of the fall even though its a chick flick but its an excellent story line, superman, iron eagle cause my dad hates that movie and I get a kick out of his reaction when he hears the mere mention of the title.
Television
I love smallville, its about the only show I keep up with. Other than that I'm a big fan of the history and discovery channels.
Books
Anything that interests me.
Heroes
My mom, dad, and stepdad. My grandfather on my dad's side as well. When I was growing up I wanted nothing more than to follow in my dad's footsteps and be a fighter pilot. Unfortunately it's too late for that so I'll have to be content with something else.
About me: Well, where to start? I'm pretty shy and reserved by nature. The strong silent type I guess you could say. Doesn't mean I just sit around and say nothing at all, though there have been occassions like that. I'm a plethora of useless and useful information. I'm working on becoming trilingual. Other than my native tongue, I can speak spanish fairly well. I've also been teaching myself german for the last 7 months. I am not by any means fluent in either language. I get mixed up when I conjugate verbs and word order, but I get by. I have a bad habit of speaking the language around others who don't. But what the hell? It's the only way you can learn it or get used to speaking it. I'm also a big math geek and believe that it is one of the most important subjects school has to offer.
As to what I do for a living, right now I'm an unemployed, full-time student living off the GI bill and other funding for school. I'm cool with that cause I've got my bills and rent all covered and still plenty left over to go have fun with. I would like to find something part-time though just for the extra money and to meet some new peope since all but one of my classes are on the damn internet. I do the whole weekend warrior crap in the air national guard, but due to getting kicked out of special operations I'm now attending AA meetings and drug/alcohol abuse counseling and looking for a new MOS. Hopefully I can get something in either medical or working on C-130's. After that I'll go back to TACP and do the whole course all over again from day one once I finish a stint elsewhere cause I don't like to leave things unfinished. Especially a grueling course like that! I was having a damn good time training for that despite the fact that you get smoked constantly, but it's just exercise, a little light stretching and calisthenics, lol! That's all I'm gonna say for now. Feel free to ask if you wanna know anything else.
funny, thats exactly what Tommy and I have been talking about doing for the last couple of days, but we have been hearing they don't pay what they advertise???
Well as long as you control it, then no need to stop I guess. Just stay away from those that nag at you about it or it will just make you want to drink more!..lol You got to want to quit, to quit~
