Hey man, Congrats on your whole military career and all, Hope you're proud of all you've done, For myself, well after 4 and half years at college, well I'm taking a change in things, and I'm going into the army, infantry, and hopefully I'll get air born option in the new contract that My recruiter and I have to make since my first one we had to cancel due to certain issues in my past... In any case Hope things are going well for you and all man... I haven't heard of you since ooo High school I'd have to say. Anyways Take care Yo...
Hey you! How is everything? Happy Early Valentine's Day!! Keep in touch! If you have a chance visit my website www. VariousOrchids. com, or add my other myspace to your friends, www. myspace. com/varorc. Thanks and Have Fun!
Don't try to assume how much you are worth in the civilian world....Unfortunately, veterans are really not worth as much as people has said when we were in the military:( It is sad and I know. Look in your classified ads, nifty nickle, and best of all your !!!!craigslist!!!! I am doin unarmed security and I like it because I am used to it from ASF before. It is easy, man. I would look there first. Look for a security agency.
One more thing my slanted-friend. make alot of copies of you DD214's (your official 1st Civilian division, USS Couch, whatever.) that paper is worth more than gold. You can't get a job without that paper. Guess what? No MGIB, either. so you found someone? Guess what, make sure that she helps you being a secretary, too. I know you need one to keep you on track.
Taps, at least pay attention as of how to put together a resume and cover sheet to get a job. Barney style time. VA...you are only entitled for your VA for medical for only three months that you have left the service. Crap. VA house. Yah the no money down deal but that doesn't fly too often these days, lots of paper work to use it and Huge monthly payment. You are better off renting or save for a good down payment, this should be out of your consideration. FAFSA, this is the federal way of borrowing money from the government to go to school, it has low interest rate and you can pay it back as soon you borrow it or start paying it off when you get out and work your profession that you have studied for in college. The flip side of things it can take up to 8-10 weeks for you to be eligible for this resource. You will use this website http://www. fafsa. ed. gov/ Once you get this done, go to the desired school that you want to go and go to the financial aid services to further help you along the process to probably be eligible for PELL Grant (free money from the government.) and to fine tune your FAFSA form so you can borrow money to pay for tuition, takes 8-10 weeks, about. What you want to go for now is to get your Marine Corps Training record evaluated (so bring that) at your desired school and look for VA STUDENT AFFAIRS so you can sign up for Montgomery GI Bill and see if any of your training can be used for credits in the field of study that you want to persue in college.
easy steps. 1.Look for school you want to go to and take your training/education record to VA Affairs to have it evaluated and signed up for the MGIB. This paper will be called the DARSweb. Takes a while, too. Be patient. 2. Go talk to financial services or financial aid to fine tune your FAFSA form so you can get borrowed money to pay for tuition. Probably you would even get PELL grant (free money)This will take time, too. 3. Sign up for classes.
