I don't really have any specific heroes... I suppose just anyone who does what they want, gets what they want, and doesn't apologize for it. :) I'd definitely like to be more like that.
things are good here. trenton just had his tonsils taken out about 3 weeks ago. he never got strep but they were so enlarged they were causing a choking hazard when he ate plus he was developing sleep apnea. jared goes in august 12th to have his taken out and his sinuses, etc worked on same problem but his sleep apnea is waaay worse.
on a side note i talked to grandma last night. her memory is really starting to go. shes just not as sharp as she used to be. im working on her's and grandpa's family tree and i didn't get too far. i may need to call your mom for info. do you have her number and if so do you mind if i have it?
we may try to get up to lexington over xmas break. will you be in ohio then? maybe we can meet up on the river or something for lunch.

girl, you sound like my mom! everything , and i mean EVERYTHING she made when we were younger was from scratch...granted, as we got older and had busier lifestyles she switched to the prepackaged stuff to save her time...especially on meeting nights. but now that all the kids are out of the house shes back to cooking the old fashioned way. from what ive heard its no longer the good ol' fashioned comfort foods (lasagna, fried chicken, etc...) but more lighter, health conscious meals.
you and i are alot alike, always looking for recipes to change, fresh ingredients instead of prepackaged or dried and jared just bought me really nice new cookware (all clad stainless - not that crappy teflon shit that makes your food taste nasty)a few weeks ago and a new knife set last xmas. ok, now i sound like a snob...lol! anyways, i think its great you are putting your creativity and love for cooking to good use. keep the recipes and ideas coming!!! youve really got a niche for this stuff!

ssdd here too. not too much. just gettin pissed off at the yo-yo weather. planning a trip to lexvegas in march...you think you'll be able to drive in for a day or do lunch one weekend? its the weekend of the 15th when we are coming up. prolly stay a week during trenton's spring break. let me know if you can work something out. we still have a lot of skeletons to discuss...lol!
Naah, Just laying off the Space for a bit. It's trouble I tell you, nothing but trouble, and I love trouble. The problem is that trouble doesn't love me right now, so trouble and I are taking some time apart to do our own things, pursue other interest, take a break from the same old same old. You know that's how things go with Trouble. ;p
