Peyton Manning has been in the NFL for 9 years now. Peyton graduated from the University of Tennesee in 1998 .In college he received many awards.Including: 1997 Davey O'Brien Award - Awarded to the Nation's Top Senior Quarterback ,1997 Johnny Unitas Award - Awarded to the Nation's Top Quarterback,1997 Maxwell Award - Nation's Top Player, 1997 All American. Peyton's stats in 2005 were RAT 104.1 | YDS 3,747 | TD 28. Down from my 49 TDs from the year before! In 2005 the Colts finished a great 14-2 but fell short to the Steelers in the Divisional Round. Peyton's home town is New Orleans. His middle name is William. In his career in the NFL he has 33189 passing yards and 244 TD's. Peyton's brother Eli is the starting QB for the NY Giants. Peyton also holds many records including: Touchdowns: 49 (previously held by Dan Marino with 48 in 1984) ,Passer rating: 121.1 (previously held by Steve Young with 112.8 in 1994) ,Consecutive games with at least 4 TD passes: 5 (previously held by Marino with 4 TDs in 4 consecutive games in 1984),5 TD passes in 4 different games in less than 12 months (previously held by Marino), First QB to throw 10+ TD passes to each of 3 different receivers in 1 season (14, Marvin Harrison; 12, Reggie Wayne; 10, Brandon Stokley). The Colts are the only team ever to have 3 WRs with 10+ TDs in 1 season. Although not an NFL record, I threw 6 TD passes in a little over a half against the Detroit Lions on November 25. It was the second time in his career that I achieved this (also in 2003), and he has been the only NFL player to throw 6 TDs in 1 game since 1991.
