This year will mark the 8th Anniversary of the Unite Conference, and we are thrilled to announce one of our best lineups ever. Jeremy Johnson speaks to tens of thousands of teenagers each year in schools, camps and conferences. He is both hilarious and poignant; we are excited to have him back again this year. The Unite Conference has always been about bringing our Christian students together to encourage them in their faith and to train our students to reach their friends with the Gospel. This year we are going further than ever in that direction. Carla LaFayette works for the Urban Youth Worker Institute. She is the main trainer for “3-Story Evangelism,” which teaches students a simple way for them to share their faith with their friends. Your students will be energized and encouraged by this training.
Thursday Night, October 2nd will be a special night. For the first time, we are bringing an evangelistic program to Unite. Illusionist Brock Gill is an amazing entertainer with a serious heart for evangelism. He comes recommended by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Luis Palau and others… He will amaze you with his illusions and use them to present the Gospel. For the first time we will allow FREE ENTRY to a segment of Unite for non-ticketed people. Anyone will be allowed in for the 9pm Brock Gill Show. An altar call will be given. Check out our Promo DVD to see some of Brock’s stuff. For youth leaders, we are thrilled to continue in our quest to strengthen youth ministries throughout the region. This year we are partnering with the Willow Creek Association/ Shift Conference and Lead 222 to offer one of only 14 Regional Youth Worker Trainings around the United States. This dynamic ½ day of training will be centered around coaching and mentoring, giving you practical tools designed to help students in the spiritual formation process. It will be taught by one of their National Trainers and Youth Ministry Coaches, Mark Moder. Your registration to the conference gets you free entry to the WCA Regional Training. As an added bonus, Thad DeBuhr; will be training youth workers on Small Groups. Thad is the Middle School Pastor at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho and has over 50 active small groups each week with 300-400 students in attendance. If you have ever struggled with small group ministry or are thinking about starting one, do not miss this opportunity to learn from one of the best small group guys around.
Lastly, we are stoked to continue with our private rental of the Northwest’s Largest Theme Park, Silverwood. They are re-opening after the close of their season just for us. We will have the park to ourselves on Friday afternoon, from 2:30 – 6pm; where students will have unlimited access to the 6 best rides in the park, including the brand new roller coaster, Aftershock.
Registration is $55 for students if paid in full by September 18th; $65 after; and youth workers are $35. Each registration includes dinner on Thursday, admission to the concert with “We as Human,” 4 general sessions, Illusionist Brock Gill, 3 training breakout sessions, Lunch on Friday, the WCA/Lead 222 Regional Youth Leader Training, and admission to Silverwood Theme Park.
