I used to despise television, saw it as an empty medium ... with the rare exception - V, Twin Peaks, the first season of Miami Vice, and so on. How misguided! At its best, television is the creaters medium (writers, directors, etc). Big love for Freaks and Geeks, Firefly, some seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the second season of Angel, Deadwood, The Office (British and American), Strangers with Candy, Kids in the Hall, Mr. Show, Little Britain, Arrested Development, Battlestar Galactica, Veronica Mars, Extras, Carnivale, Lost, The Prisoner (totally pilfered by Lost), and the list goes on (as all my lists do).
