.. This is my Personal Profile in MySpace. I want to thank you for wanting to know more about me. From my perspective, who I am isn't about what I do, but is based rather on more intangible things that when balanced result in such things as motivations, actions and ultimately everything I do; for instance my values, my relationship with my family, and most important to me--faith in God. .. The Entertainment Industry Chaplains is a non-profit religious organization committed to the spiritual care of entertainers.
.. As a Chaplain my goal is to provide counsel and support for Industry Professionals of all kinds, as well as up-and-coming talent and celebrities (by whatever definition you use for that strangely shifting concept). Our Chaplaincy services would be similar in concept to what military chaplains do, but in corporate and private settings. .. Do we do Spiritual Life Coaching? Yes.
Do we bring teams of chaplains onto movie sets, location shoots and into corporations? Yes
Do we provide chaplains for bands and individuals? Yes.
.. Even saying this above stuff, people still have a hard time understanding what I do. Funny how the world has changed! There was a time when EVERY community in the USA had a community chaplain. A chaplain is a member of the clergy--a pastor, a priest, a religious minister of some kind that provides their time for the spiritual care of others. When it comes to the Entertainment Industry, that means providing religious services to people who, because of their careers, cannot usually go to a religious service. Literally, we bring church to you!

.. There was a time when most Entertainment Industry studios and record companies had staff-chaplains offering on-site ministry services for employees and talent. The era ended in the early 1970's when liability laws in the USA changed. We are reintroducing the chaplains service to the Industry worldwide. What we do is a form of Corporate Chaplaincy, which has an 80 year history in Corporate America, excluding the Entertainment Industry. Coca Cola Corporation and Tyson Foods are just two examples of Fortune 500 companies that outsource employee care to on-site chaplain organizations. We also provide services to bands, models, authors, journalists and others in the form of spiritual life coaching.
.. In addition to Chaplaincy, I also find myself assisting others. I've had the pleasure of being involved with Child Predator Busters (www.childpredatorbusters.org), helping kids and families, which is my passion. You can find them somewhere in my TOP Friends. I've also had the pleasure of being involved with some fantastic visionary people who do all they can to help others. My heartfelt prayers continually go out for them, and I am thankful God places such people in this world to encourage, educate and inspire us to do more (if you think I'm talking about you, I probably am!). .. Being involved in the Industry is in my blood. My family has more than 150 years of experience in Entertainment all over the world. As for me, I am a licensed minister with a background in the arts. I've spoken, taught, performed or preached in thousands of venues worldwide. I am a published poet, done television commercials and worked in theater, both as a lighting designer and an actor. I am a classically trained vocalist who's performed solo, with bands and groups of various musical genres. Other than voice, I learned my first instrument when I was seven. As far as celebrity goes, I doubt anyone would call me that. I certainly don't consider myself one. Most people wouldn't have a clue who I am, but there are thousands of people of select demographics and venues who would recognize me, or the groups of which I've been a member. I'm probably more well-known by celebrities and up-and-coming talent (or their agents, managers and publicists), than the general public--although we're working on that. .. Did I mention my family? I am married and have two children. My bride, Michelle, can often be found communicating with people through MySpace and Facebook. .. I would love to speak with you and be of any assistance we can for you, the artists you know or represent, your company, your friend, or your family. I've been immensely blessed and impressed by the power of social networking to connect people. Because of it, I count among my dearest friends people I would never have otherwise met. This video is the first in a series addressing the lack of integrity inherent within modern day Christianity. A more liberal and morally loose conceptual way of thinking is being widely embraced by today's Christian culture. Instead of rousing this sleeping giant in order to slay it, we've been sleeping with the giant, compromising and coming into agreement with it. Now, as kingdom leaders, we need to re-establish the standard and make our position clear. The remnant is finally making itself known, and it is time to take up our cross and be followers of Christ. All of creation awaits the manifestation of the true children of God.

We are doing good over here - crazy busy and trying to catch up on the year we lost due to VF along with new movies and books. But we are back at it and not doing the 16 hour days anymore.

Today's Scripture
“A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed” (Proverbs 11:25).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
God’s system works on the principle of sowing and reaping. Simply put, if you are kind to others, then others will be kind to you. What you sow, you shall reap. When you refresh others, you yourself will be refreshed. That word “refresh” means to restore or revive. When you reach out to others to restore them or offer strength to them, you are planting seeds for your own future. And there are many ways to refresh others—a smile, a kind word. You might buy someone a tank of gas. You could pay for someone’s groceries in line at the grocery store. You could make a special meal for a friend in need. If you ask God to show you how to refresh others, He will. Get in the habit of looking for ways to be a blessing to other people. Have a generous attitude, step out and refresh others. As you do, you’ll reap an abundant harvest in your life, and you will live the life of blessing the Lord has for you!
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, thank You for being a blessing to me so that I can be a blessing to others. Show me ways to refresh people in my daily life and help always to honor You in everything I say and do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
