1982 erblickte Marleen das Licht dieser Welt. Das Abitur (2000) in der Tasche und fast am Ende ihrer Ausbildung, zog es sie im Frühjahr 2003 an die heißgeliebten Turntables. Damals setzte Marleen alle Ersparnisse um und kaufte sich das Werkzeug eines DJ..s – Turntables, Mixer und Headphones.
Nach dem erfolgreichen Abschluß ihrer Ausbildung im Juli 2003, kam eine Plattenfirma auf Marleen zu und fragte, ob sie Interesse an einem Projekt hege, wo 2 DJanes zusammen an den Turntables agieren sollen. Solch ein Projekt hat es bis zu jenem Zeitpunkt, in dieser Form, noch nicht in Deutschland gegeben. Marleen war sofort begeistert von dieser Idee und sagte zu. Somit wirkte sie ab August desselben Jahres als Mitglied des Acts "T90" mit. Der erste Track "Taste of Summer", wurde zur offiziellen Single für "The Dome" (2003) ausgewählt. Die Single wurde unter dem Projektnamen "T90@the Dome" released. Mit diesem Track schaffte sie auch den Sprung auf den Bildschirm, den das Video erhielt eine High Rotation auf VIVA und MTV. Supported wurde er auch von RTL 2, die den Track für diverse Werbetrailer einsetzten. Die Follow-up „Can..t stop to follow“ kam im Jahr darauf auf den Markt und wurde als Picture-Vinyl vertrieben. 2005 trennte sich Marleen von der Plattenfirma und tourte unter ihrem, mittlerweile bekannten, Pseudonym „Sunny Marleen“ durch Deutschland und Europa.
Diverse Gig..s in Polen, Russland, Österreich und Ibiza kann die smarte DJane schon nach relativer kurzer Zeit in diesem Buisness verbuchen. Aber auch in Deutschland legt sie auf vielen Events auf, u.a. auf der größten Tuning-Messe Europas - Tuning World - am Bodensee (2005 mit DJ Sammy, 2006 mit Vinylshakerz) oder auch auf Europas größter Musikmesse in Frankfurt/Main (u.a. für Reloop). Auf diesen Festivals und auch in den Clubs dieser Welt präsentiert Sunny Marleen ihren unverwechselbaren Sound der Crowd. Auch Radiostationen, wie Sunshine Live, NRJ, gong.fm etc. besucht sie des Öfteren und beschallt die Zuhörer live mit ihrem Set.
Sunny Marleen legt sich musikalisch nicht fest, deswegen ist ihr Style sehr abwechslungsreich. Sie bevorzugt Genres wie Vocal House, Ibiza House, Electro Pop bis hin zu Electro und Minimal. Ihre positive Ausstrahlung und stets gute Laune überträgt sich auf die Crowd.

Hi, DJane Sunny Marleen Everything well? I’m here with a new about my work. It’s the releasing of a remix I produced this summer for Future Shock Records. The track is featured by the female singer Birgit (an incredible voice, for my taste) and it has been a great honour for me to get the chance to work with this Estonian singer. In this case I’m presenting commercial dance music, not trance or electro-trance so I guess it’s an easy listening. Anyway, you have the right word.
