| Music | we LOVE the music of: the subdudes, tony furtado, dire straits, bonepony, poco, john hiatt, kim richey, mel fletcher, the erins... I grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan, home of Gibson guitars. The best. guitar. ever. Spent lots of my earlier years getting influenced by THE best bluegrass band around: Sweetcorn, along with Uncle Bill playing at Grandma & Grandpa's every Sunday. Kalamazoo had it going on and I didn't even realize it. Until I left, of course.

About me:
We began a handful of years ago, a little bit different but mostly the same, as who we are now. Mark Gillem plays the pedal steel, mandolin, guitar, dobro and sings; Ted Brainard plays bass, git, fiddle and sings; and Elise Michaels plays guitar, bass, mandolin and sings.
We play with an alt-country twist: originals (such as the radio-friendly "Days of Innocence" and "Bow Wow Boogie") to covers (think Dire Straits, Lucinda Williams, J.R. Cash and more).
See you at a gig. You'll know it's us by the shaking of the house!
