I listen to many kinds of music. The only thing I can't get down with is country. And I am one of those crazy drivers that is always belting out some song as I drive around town. Occasionally, I'm a little embarassed when someone catches me, but it doesn't usually stop the tunes...

I love to read, but haven't found much time for it lately. A couple of my favorites are The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and The Namesake and Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri.

About me:
Some say I'm a bit sarcastic - What? Me sarcastic? Yeah, some days there might be some truth in that... I'm also pretty anal and picky about weird things. A crooked picture on the wall can really bother me. And I hate finding misspellings or improper use of grammar in printed materials. I can be an annoying perfectionist sometimes.
That said, I am still a pretty nice girl and I have a variety of interests! At the top of my list is travel. I enjoy weekend jaunts to Vegas or the Bay Area almost as much as traveling abroad and experiencing new cultures. I rang in 2006 and 2007 in Brazil and Peru, respectively, and I went to Kentucky for my first trip to the Kentucky Derby last May! And one day soon I would love to take a road trip from the northeast US down into the south.
I also am a great spectator of fine sports. I am a fan of the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and I bleed the True Blue and Gold of my beloved alma mater, UCLA. Go Bruins!

I think after Christmas I am reconsidering kids altogether... almost have the urge to rip out the ovaries and spare the world of the possibility of spawning a trecherous beast. This is what the holidays did to me.
