Hmmm forgot about this bit well i guess you have the background to most of my main interests from the previous blurb... So yeah i play guitar too much mainly cos i love doing it and also because it stops me playing with myself :-P lol. I play a lot of old school styled metal and classic rock blues but to be fair i dont mind what im playing as long as i am, as i say i've been playing about two and a half three years and have had lessons on and off and done a little self learning. I'm a gear head too and have a bad habit of buying cheap guitars and pumping lots of money into them. I have a Stagg les paul with Seymour Duncan PUPs and Grover Tuners, An '87 BC Rich Assasin with nice new paint job, ibanez edge pro trem and about to get fitted with a duncan distortion and i have a metallic blood red epi demon vee which they dont make nemore and is untouched cos it was perfect right out of the shop!!
Music
Right im not gonna bother listing bands cos i can't be arsed writing them down and let's be honest... you cant be arsed reading them. I like ROCK I like METAL i like BLUES, JAZZ, CLASSICAL its all good and lets get one thing straight i dont care about sub divisions of any of these styles because the fact is IT'S ALL FUCKING MUSIC. Death Metal to Texas Roadhouse, Baroque to Country 'n' western all that matters is that generates some interest and emotion in me simple as.
Movies
Well im gonna be honest, my film tastes would make most so called "film buffs" rip up their copies of Empire magazine in rage and chew their special edition dvd's up in despair. I like good films i like crap films, in the same vein as my music all i ask from movies is that they stimulate me (so how many people giggled when they read that bit?), if they dont have entertainment value then its a crap film. I don't have time for all these pretentious people who spend all their time disecting a film and don't allow themselves to appreciate the film for being whatever it is as opposed to what they think it should be. Don't get me wrong i do enjoy a well made film and i dig the fact that people have a passion for films but from the same point sometimes u have to give the critique a rest and enjoy a bit of mindless cheese or violence.
Television
I don't watch TV as much as i used to. When i do though i like Grand Designs and stuff like that, the simpsons, futurama, family guy, mythbusters and the musicians channels. To be fair most TV programmes annoy me these days but ill prolly write a blog about that when im pissed off enough about it. Normally these days i watch music DVD's and things like that.

Heroes
Not suprisingly most of my heroes are musicians. Slash, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Santana (alot of em have an S in their name... weird) James Hetfield, Kirk Hammet, Paul Gilbert and so many others. They are heroes as much as influences to the way i play. Ritchie BLackmore was the first guitarist i ever really recognised but it was Slash who inspired me to pick up a guitar. Steve Vai and Joe Satriani INspired me to push my playing and Vai in particular affected my outlook on guitar playing and life in general. Paul Gilbert is a great inspiration because despite all his years of playing even now you can tell he lives and breathes guitar and is still excited by playing no matter how dull it may seem. SRV and Santana are heroes simply because they understand the importance of playing with heart. Outside of music i have a lot of respect for The late Bruce Lee i discovered him at a time where i was pretty all over the place his philospohies and observations helped me through some tough times in my life.

the tattoo went really well! it's now finished! :D 4 sessions and 23 hours later it's looking gorgeous! :D I love it! :D as soon as it's healed I'll post pics! :D

hope you,re having a nice weekend! :D doing anything fun? and eleven guitars????? wow!!!!! that's a lot! I have one and it's really cheap! and just can't bring myself to learning it! lol
thanks for the compliments on the tattoo... hurt like hell doing it but it was way worth it! so beautiful! not finished yet though... still needs shading and colour! took 5 hours just for the outline! :D more fun to come! lol
