Shag Athlete, in its present incarnation, formed very recently and is currently taking kitchens by storm. Shag Athlete is a musical ensemble that resides in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, North Carolina. They specialize in a type of relatively short musical composition called "song". "Songs" contain vocal parts for the human voice, commonly accompanied by other musical instruments (exceptions would be scat songs) and feature words (lyrics). Shag Athlete lives in the small musical village of Fenario. It has been said that it's a way to march down to Fenario. The perform their "songs" in the legendary, often described as haunted, Castle Gayskull. Their lyrics often concern the lost art of cigarette counting, weathermen, unhugged babies and pretty girls on bicycles. Their music has been compared to rock n roll, a style of "song" popularized in the United States in the mid to late twentieth century. Their mothers care deeply for them. And so should you.
