Did I say throwing parties?--surfin' and divin' (it's been awhile since I had time tho'), listenin' to music REAALLY loud (gotta FEEL that music), travelin', tryin' new things, welding (to make things like wicked-looking candleholders and stuff), breaking stuff apart and puttin them back to together, learnin'--oh yeah, and dancin, of course!!!
Music
I believe that the electronic music genre is the ultimate genre of music, because for an artist to be really good in this genre, the artist must understand and respect every other genre of music to produce really good electronic music.
With that said…
My favorites include Techno, House, Drum&Bass/Jungle, Breakbeat, Trance, Hard House, Goa Trance, and my latest kicks have been Electro-House and Persian Music…
I am a proud supporter (meanin’ that I pledge to) of KCRW's Metropolis, The Drop, Nocturna, etc.--be sure to check out their streamin’ music, and check out Digitally Imported Radio…
Collectin' music, everything from Sarah Mclachlan to Niyaz, DJ Tiesto to Crystal Method, Depeche Mode to Sublime, Nine Inch Nails to Delerium, Plump DJs to Moby, Metallica to Paul Oakenfold, Lilly Allen to James Zabiela—check out my frenz list for all my favorite artists (if I didn’t get you down, add me as a friend!); and a lot of really cool demos from up and comin’ DJs, just to have that "in" to what the freshest music is out there...are ya still awake out there??!!

"The Dancing Wu-Li Masters"
"Seat of the Soul"
Readin' what's not in the Bible like "The Gnostic Bible" and "The Secret Teachings of Jesus" to thump back on Crazed Christian Bible Thumpers (do they actually READ the Bible?)...I do consider myself a member of The Gnostic Society
Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Dale Brown, and Tom Clancy...
And, of course, "Generation Ecstasy", a most excellent primer on the history of the Electronic Music Scene!!!

Graduated high school early and spent five years in the Navy as a glorified pipe fitter (better known as a nuclear engineer) and a scuba diver on a submarine, got out to make more money doing the same thing without the nuclear reactor...Decided to go to school to be a rig diver, and ended up a building inspector, first working for one of the largest inspection companies in LA, and now actually working for the City of LA (kinda helps me with the nightside).
If you're just dyin' to know more about my "day side" life, then check me out here!
The night side:
Music is one of my biggest passions, and I got involved with the Electronic Music Scene about ten years ago, the LA music scene about five years ago...It took one shady party too many for me to decide to do something about it, so I became a promoter and threw a couple of parties, promoted for TranceClubHeaven and Circus (Hollywood), and even managed to run a warehouse in dowtown LA for a bit.
For those knowledgeable in the scene, we threw ALL4YOU, MOTION, THE STUDIO HOUSEWARMING PARTY, SWEETER AFTER, and the last party I had a hand in was HAVE IT YOUR WAY...our warehouse hosted parties for Gravy, Cody Lee, DJ Wolfie, Sublevel, and the biggest parties I had a hand in hosting there were RAVER'S TOY BOX, UNDER THE SEA, and SHAKE LIKE AN EARTHQUAKE...
I'm always down to go out with friends and show my support for our scene...One of the big reasons for doin' what I do is to see a few of my talented DJ friends rise up in the scene, like Bill Harvey (aka DJ Waldo), John Pegnato, DJ Manik (talk about some turntablism skillz!) and Cevin Foster, DJs that can really tear it up on the tables!!!! Be sure to catch all the up and comin' DJs in my frenz list!!!
I even managed to find a gal that loves the electronic music scene almost as much as I do...many a gal have drifted out of my life because they didn't like my music or my scene...I love having someone as cool and as open-minded as my Jen...
Who I'd like to meet: Einstein, because I didn't truly believe in God until learnin' nuclear physics...there's a lot more to E=Mc squared than you might think!!!
COMPRESSION @ THE STANDARD HOTEL on SUNDAY! GLOBAL UNDERGROUND/NUBREED CD release party w/ Jim Rivers (Global Underground, Bedrock, U.K.), Kazell, Robtronik, Matt Xavier, & Andre Ezer.
The trick is to stay focused on what you want to happen and let go of what you do not... cuz if you keep seeing things as they are, convincing yourself that you "have to" because that's reality, then it will always be your reality. want to change? it's as simple as changing the who, what, how, why and when of what you look at and FOCUS on... DAILY :)
exactly. im going to see how much money i get for my b-day... which probably won't be much lol. and then i'll see where to go from there. hehhehe im excite! ethan's excited cuz we'll have the same phone. we're such dorks, i know; anyways, yeah i know exactly what u mean i need one too but yeah its the only way to move forward and hey if its true love let it go and if it comes back then ull know for sure!!! and OH I am so jealous that you got to go to Savannah! maybe i'll get to go soon too! i've been saving up my money that i've been getting from taking those survey things online. i'm up to $243 (heh, weird number, i know) so far, so i figure once i hit like a thousand, i'm goin on a va-ca, baby! do em, too! they're like soooo easy. i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:
Failure is the best part of success. They are like yin and yang; you can’t have one without the other. So learn to celebrate your failures. Truly successful people even say they are successful because they have failed more than anyone they know. They keep trying and each time it doesn’t work, it’s just a learning experience. So, go out there, Fail, Learn, Succeed. Fail, Learn, Succeed. Say it with me now, Fail. Learn.. Succeed!!!
Put it this way, you CANNOT get hung up on when something doesn’t go your way. If you stay fixated on the failure, then you cut off the other two steps: Learn and Succeed. Fight the temptation to dwell on the failure with EVERYTHING you’ve got. Get excited about failing! Then Learn, Then Succeed!!!

Get Inspired, what are you waiting on? Every minute that you waste on this planet focused on what your RIGHTS are as opposed to what your RESPONSIBILITIES are is a golden opportunity that has passed you by. An opportunity to take your life into your own hands and change your world for the better. When you do that, the byproduct is a better world overall. And, this world desperately needs YOU to show up.
Are you a glass half empty or glass half full type of person?
When life presents you with “experiences”, do you see them as problems that you can do nothing about or moves in a game and your job is to find the solution so you can “win the game?”
Have you failed in life or merely learned ways how not to do something on your way to achieving the life you know you deserve?
Do you live in a hostile world or a world that’s beautiful and full of possibilities?
Are you a know-it-all adult that no one can tell anything to, the world sucks and that’s just the way it is, or do you have child-like faith and can see things like children see them?
This week, let the kid in you back out. Laugh more…Appreciate more…Be thankful more…Help more…BE MORE…You were meant to be abundant, so go out there and start your treasure hunt :-)

Check it out! I wrote a free book on music production! It's for total beginners, but maybe you'll learn something... at least you can send it to your friends who always want to ask you a billion questions about music production! It's totally free too; my goal with this is to accumulate as many BFF's as possible :P
