| General | Growing fruit trees, Gardening or more like collecting weird edibles, Fermentation, Mycology, Apiology, general Entomology and the history of all the above (with the encouragement of my red-headed friend), home tissue culture (and hanging out with like friends), Electronic art, Amiga computers, dancing, woodworking, metalworking, BBC internet radio, day-trips in the country, ethnobotany, ethnic foods, reading about urban homesteading and self-sustaining lifestyles(but no courage to try it), making far more hooch (country wine) than I could possibly drink...even if I did drink alot, hangin' out with friends in East Atlanta.. but most of all sleeping. | | Music | 80s electronica, MODS, industrial, Laibach, Skinny Puppy, The The, Kate Bush, Grupo Fantasma, Tom Waits, Frontline Assembly, Kraftwerk, Hope for a Golden Summer (they can make me cry), Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Atmospheric music, Drum&Bass, Bluegrass, latin music, little bit of most things depending on my mood. | | Movies | Wings of Desire, Headwig and the angry inch, Big Fish, Once upon a time in America, art films, Cohen Brothers films, Lynch films, Brothers Quay and Jan Svankmajer films, many more I'm sure, but I dont see that many. About me:
It may be best to ask my friends about me. I am on occasion a hermit type, but not to dangerous. :) At other times I can have cabin fever and be very outgoing. I seem to be fascinated with horticulture of edible plants, but in my life it tends to be more theory than practice. I will still talk your ear off about it.
Though I seem to hang out at bars and clubs, I am about as "straight edge" as they come....before the term was even popular. Increasingly, it seems like cafes and bookstores are more interesting

Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone with similar interests...or not. Other mid-life crisis people.
A friend who would like to go on plant excursions and grow berries by day, and industrial clubs or other odd places by night; all the while being mostly sober and sane.
Someone who will introduce me to some new hobbies (..like I need more).
Someone who will treat me (and others) with sweetness and sincerity. I will try to return he favor.
No serious drinkers, addicts, or smokers need apply.
I am tired of swatting barflies.....or maybe I am just tired.
