About me:

You only have to get it right once.

I've been in more car accidents then I can count. It's going to be what kills me, it's inevitable. But at least I know, you know? At least this way there's no surprise ending. I've never been one for surprises. You never really know what to expect. I guess that's the point.

It's weird when you wake up and you realize that today is the first day of the rest of your life. Really take that statement into consideration. I don't know if it's simply because I have the long term memory of a goldfish, but some days I wake up and I feel like I have no recollection of the past few weeks, let alone months. How did I get here? I ask. And who are these people? But it makes the day more interesting, to say the least.

If the world were simple, I would raise sheep on some farm in some place. No phone, no television, no internet. Humans don't need these faulty means of communication to survive, or to even prosper. In all reality, these networks take away from the true human spirit, and give the users the ability to nearly pull completely out of the real world, and visit a little box connected to a cord in the wall instead. Why even leave your home when you can get all you need brought straight to you. Convenience, they say. But as you get fatter and dumber by the day, the world is passing you by. Do you really find this existence worthwhile?

And what is worth? Is it simply the value of inanimate objects, or is there more? Does that 17 minute show with 13 minutes of commercials bring you more joy then the feel of a spring day in the woods as the sun is slightly cascaded over the trees, and it seems like you can hear the leaves rustling from miles around. And the sound of the wind. And the smell. And what stars look like an hour outside city limits. And the sound of rain on a lake as the fish begin to jump. And the simple sway of a hammock on a 72 degree day. Life is full of things.

So why do some keep wasting these moments? I live for the experience, good or bad. There are so many places I want to go and things I want to do. Or see. Or steal? Well, we'll see. I just don't want to live in this square existence that has sucked so many in of the past. I'm going to leave, get out of this place, and simply go see what life has to offer.

But I don't want to do it alone.
