Founding influences were new order, petshop boys, depeche mode, the cure, the cult… even bronski beat. An abundance of chill, such as café del mar, Buddha bar, hotel costes, saint germain des pres and portishead. Plus a splattering of the brmc, guns n roses, U2 etc and jazz and classical stuff… | | Movies | ridiculously difficult to choose favs, but here goes: classics like trainspotting, midnight express, the godfather series, fight club, pulp fiction (basically all tarantino), boogie nights, lord of the rings. momento, being john malkovich, crouching tiger hidden dragon, chasing amy, eyes wide shut, the matrix, city of god. trios couleurs (rouge, blanc & bleu), amelie, moulin rouge, american beauty, the piano and shawshank redemption. Oz classics like priscilla queen of the desert, the castle, two hands and chopper… | | Television | don’t watch it… eats your life. Far better to head out with friends or stay at home listening to music, reading or just plain sleeping (highly underrated). | | Books | yea… do a fair bit of reading actually... once again a fairly wide variety. Everything from paulo coelho (the alchemist & others), altas shrugged, life of pi, the celestine prophecy to non-fiction stuff like against all enemies, midnight in sicily and the mole people to bestsellers like the da vinci code, harry potter and david sedaris… plus the usual array of boy’s stuff: robert ludlum, wilbur smith, tom clancy AND all time fav: tolkien’s the lord of the rings | | Heroes | Not sure I am ready for that level of baring one’s soul… |
