About me: I'm a guitar player and UNT graduate living in Denton, TX, and my life basically revolves around music. Me and four of my friends have a band called Oso Closo and we're trying very hard right now to make it "happen". Feeling pretty awesome about that overall, especially because it gives me an opportunity to work creatively with my friend and kindred spirit Adrian Hulet. We've got a million ideas, and some of them are actually starting to blossom. If everything works out I'll be able to avoid getting a real job altogether.
I also have the joy of being in another great Denton band, Snarky Puppy led by the mind-blowingly wonderful Mike League. Mike and I started jamming in the basement of Bruce Hall our first days at UNT and haven't stopped playing together since. That creep won't stop calling me.
Anyway, I grew up in Austin and did a bunch of stuff, then I came to Denton for the UNT jazz program, from which I graduated in 2006. And while I was there I had the great fortune of being in the One O'clock Lab Band, which was a total blast. But by far the best musical experiences I've had have been in the last year or so as I've been getting into the South Dallas groove/R&B/gospel scene and being able to play with and LEARN from unbelievable musicians like Robert "Sput" Searight, Bernard Wright, Jason "JT" Thomas, Bobby Sparks, Todd Parsnow, Keith Anderson, Braylon Lacy, Jamil Byrom, all the incredible singers in Myron Butler & Levi, and many more.
I love Mariachi music and have been a part of Mariachi Inolvidable playing guitarron and singing, and learning the vihuela/guitar parts on the side. I've also been pretty into home recording, particularly making soundtracks for independent films. If you want to hear some of my music or read an actual bio please visit my shamefully neglected website.
Thanks for reading. Sorry my "About Me" section was so long and boring. I couldn't decide whether to make it quasi-professional or to make it make me seem cool to girls, so I decided to do neither.
Who I'd like to meet: Will Ferrell, Jim Hall, Jack Black, Kyle Gass, Conan O'Brien, Keith Jarrett, Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Chris Thile, David Bazaan, Dave Chappelle, Brian May, Bret McKenzie, Jemaine Clement, Paul Rudd, Dave Grohl, a bunch of others I'm sure.

Aw, Biscuit, you put OUR SONG up on your page! I remember laying bare-chested in the open fields of west Texas as we sipped lilac wine and playfully nipped at each other's navels.
Wait... that was with your mom. And all we did was screw.
And whatever you do about the ticket thing is gonna be a blessing anyways, I just don't know what date I am going to go see the show yet. I need to figure it out and get back to you so.. yeah.
But I heard some of the music you did, like on your "shamefully neglected" webpage, and it's pretty awesome! I didn't know that you were multi-instrumented and stuff.
