About me:
My name is Joann Rowling. I was born in Chipping Sodbury, which sparked an interest in funny names that I still have. I have one sister, Diana, and my mother passed away from Multiple Sclerosis. I later moved to Winterbourne, and Di became one of my best friends. I studied French for a while at the University of Exeter, but I knew all along that my true love was writing. After various other stints and a failed marriage, I finally decided it was time to do just that. Harry Potter formed in my mind's eye on a train ride, and I wrote down the story. It took a long time to get published, but when it did, I never expected it would have the amount of success it has! The births of Harry Potter and my daughter Jessica were the two happiest moments in my life. I love my new husband, Neil Murray, and my other children David and Mackenzie.
