About me: My Name is Nick Hornby. I was born in RedHill, Surrey England on April 17th 1957. I've done such books such as A About a Boy which was made into a flim in the year 2002 starring Hugh Grant as Will. Other well known novels written would be Fever Pitch and High Fidelity. In 2002 I won the WH Smith Award For Fiction for my novel How To Be Good. About A Boy is about a man named Will who is in his thirties who just lives comfortablely in the riches of his parents, doesn't work and uses women. He goes to these meeting called SPAT for single parents yet the only problem is Will isn't a single parent. so he makes up a child a ex-lover to impress a girl. This is where he meets Marcus a stubborn, teenage kid whos mother just decided to attempt sucide. This affects Marcus greatly and when he figures out Will's little he uses against him to get Will to date his mum. Yet Will realizes he actually likes this this hippy looking vegitarian. So as you see it all works out in the end.
