I haven't been able to find a fun book lately. I hate it. I want something that is good, but not good in the way everyone thinks "The Kite Runner" is good. I don't want war and misery and child rape. I want Memoirs of a Geisha good, or maybe something funny. Help!
Also: Compass Rose Series, The Clan of the Cave Bear series. The Black Jewel Trilogy, Memoirs of a Geisha, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, A Song of Ice and Fire (I wish that man would write faster), Carl Hiassen, Terry Pratchett, Mercedes Lackey, Anne McCaffery, and many various Historical Fiction, Memoirs, True Crime, the occasional trashy Romance. Anything except political commentary really.
Heroes
Have to say my Grandmother. She is the only person I know who, upon meeting someone, can instill respect, joy and the unwavering knowledge that if you deserve it, she will hit you.
Who I'd like to meet: Interesting People who are: fun, interested in ballroom dance, Sci-fi/fantasy books, cats, art. Who are not crazy, who do not want to give me a Macy's Gift Card, have me fill out surveys for "Fun and Profit", or offer me ringtones that will make all my friends jealous. That would be good.
