About me:
Okay, I was tired of being told I was the only person in the universe without a myspace and since I have relentlessly teased my parents for not having a digital camera or email, I decided I would not let myspace be the catalyst to finally "become my parents!" Why? I guess I'm always looking for new friends, business contacts and (dare I say it outloud) dating. Some of my friends (all Match.com and Yahoo Personals veterans of course) assured me this was a much better avenue to meet people and although I'm not sure its wise to take dating advice from a bunch of single 40-something-year olds like our warped group, I decided to give it a try. After exhausting cyber-winking and conversations with 65 year olds pretending to be 40, 40-year olds trying to be 25 and 25-year old, well, just trying to get laid by Mrs. Robinson, I figure I've got nothing left to lose (the pride exited 50 profiles ago - lol). But I am the eternal optimist, like it or not, and I'm not going to give up now! I love to have fun because, well, life is just too short not to! The one thing I have learned is that people definitely define "fun" differently, so...You won't find me at the bar doing shots (cause there's nothing worse than a really drunk 40-year old woman), probably won't stay out until the bars close and would never find me belting out 1980s songs in front of microphone--I will leave that to memories of my college days. However, I love to happy hour with my friends at The Plaza or P & L District, I love eating chocolate chip cookies when they're still dough and I love to laugh so hard that your ribs are sore the next day. I believe in road trips and doing the right thing even when its the hardest thing. I am alsp proud to have raised children that are good and respectful people (where's the wood to knock on...) and think being a parent is our most important job.
For a living, I sell real estate and have been fortunate enough to have built a good business with great clients over the last 10 years. Kind of ready for a career change, but we'll see what comes my way! I like the differences in life rather than expecting everyone to be the same and have learned that its okay to not always want the same things everyone else does. I appreciate a creative mind and a joyous soul. I guess that's me in 1,000 words or less!
