Movies
I love movies of pretty much anything...comedy, drama, some action movies, anime...you name it. My favorite anime series is Evangelion.
Television
I heart Tivo! I am a big history buff and I love travel shows as well. My favorites are The Thirsty Travel, Globetrekker and Passport to Europe.
Books
I love non-fiction, specifically mediaval history and biographies of European royalty. I like some fiction works as well but now as much.
Heroes
There are few people in the world I would consider heros. My sister has been a big influence in my life. She was a mother at 18 to a child with cerebral paulsey and gave up most of her life to care for my niece. When my niece died at age 21, far longer than we were told she would live, it was devastating for her. I admire her sacrifice.

About me: I am 37 years old. My birthday is 3 September, 1971. I live in Chicago in a neighborhood called Bucktown. I love to travel. Amsterdam is my favorite city in the world. I love Audrey Hepburn. I love B horror movies. I was born in Clinton, Missouri. My family moved to Southwest Virginia when I was 10 months old. My real father died when I was 4 years old. We moved to Rural Retreat, Virginia. I joined the Evangelical Luthern Church when I was 14 years old. I went to a private Baptist college and converted when I was a sophomore. I am learning Dutch. I speak a little French.
My immediate family consisted of my Dad, my Mom, my brother, my sister, her husband and my niece. They have all died except my sister, her husband and me. I worshipped the ground my grandmother walked on. She was born Christmas day 1901. She died January 4, 1997. She raised 21 children, gave birth to 16 and at the time of her death had almost 100 grandchildren. She made the best green beans EVER!
Who I'd like to meet: Robert G. Ingersoll (1833-1911) "The Great Agnostic"
In an 1896 lecture titled Why I Am An Agnostic, Ingersoll related what led him to believe in agnosticism and articulated that belief with:
Is there a supernatural power — an arbitrary mind — an enthroned God — a supreme will that sways the tides and currents of the world — to which all causes bow? I do not deny. I do not know — but I do not believe. I believe that the natural is supreme — that from the infinite chain no link can be lost or broken — that there is no supernatural power that can answer prayer — no power that worship can persuade or change — no power that cares for man.
I believe that with infinite arms Nature embraces the all — that there is no interference — no chance — that behind every event are the necessary and countless causes, and that beyond every event will be and must be the necessary and countless effects.
Is there a God? I do not know. Is man immortal? I do not know. One thing I do know, and that is, that neither hope, nor fear, belief, nor denial, can change the fact. It is as it is, and it will be as it must be.
In the conclusion of the speech he simply sums up the agnostic belief as:
We can be as honest as we are ignorant. If we are, when asked what is beyond the horizon of the known, we must say that we do not know.
