Bright and early this morning I was abruptly woken from my slumber, as one of the foulest odors hit me like a brick in the face. A smell so putrid that is seemed to singe the hairs directly from my nose, a stench so offensive that I thought the paint from my wall was going to chip. I sprang from my bed like the father in Moore’s Twas the Night Before Christmas, searching every possible source for this stench; the trash, the garbage disposal, and in a last ditch effort, the refrigerator, praying that it was the odor from rotten eggs or two month old tuna salad. Alas, my efforts were futile and I began to abandon all hope of finding the source of this stench. As a sat and contemplated suicide, in my living room, wearing nothing but my pajamas, it all at once came to me, almost as suddenly as the original disgusting smell itself…..The Cubs are in town!!!
