At the moment I'm listening to Children of Bodom, In This Moment, Hurt, Pearl Jam, Evanescence, Metallica, Bullet For My Valentine and Drowning Pool.
These bands are all completely different and my listening to them is liable to change by next week ;)
There's also a lot of stuff buried in my iPod that I would never admit I liked...
Movies
I watch far too many films. Some favourites are Interview With the Vampire, The Crow, all the Nightmare on Elm Street films (hmmm... maybe not New Nightmare or Freddy vs. Jason... they were gak), Candyman, The Matrix, The Butterfly Effect, The Ring, The Weddng Singer, Muriel's Wedding and Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet.
Yes, I like horror films and chick flicks. I'm just weird like that.
Television
Loving Dexter, Prison Break, Heroes and Battlestar Galactica.
Will always love Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, The X-Files, Roswell and Dark Angel. Oh, and Xena... Is she still cool? Nah, thought not (oh well...)
Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes rocks too ;)
Books
All-time favourites are The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien (because secretly, I want to be a hobbit...), Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite, The Earthsea series by Ursula Le Guin, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, The Green Mile by Stephen King, The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice...
... So quite mixed really :)
Some books I've really enjoyed recently are American Gods by Neil Gaiman and BloodAngel by Justine Musk.
Caroline Barnard-Smith Anyone else suffer from maddening mental lethargy? Even when you know where your novel's going and the end's in sight?! http://zetl.co.cc/abPosted at 4:37 PM Nov 17 from Twitter view more
Caroline’s short stories have been published in numerous small press magazines, including Ballista, Hungur and Night to Dawn, and on the web at Dark Fire Fiction. A novella called The Undead Alliance was recently featured in Twisted Tongue magazine.
Caroline's debut vampire novel, Dunraven Road, is now available to buy from:
"In the sleepy backwater of Dunraven Road, a group of hedonistic friends are trapped in a deadly prison of their own making. When Zach, their enigmatic leader, brings his long term plans to fruition and paves the way for a sadistic vampire cult, their fragile world begins to break apart. Fuelled by dangerous passions and an insatiable craving for the substance they call red, the group must decide whether to succumb to the sweet lure of the abyss, or stand and fight for their very survival."
Listen to Caroline talking about her new book, her inspirations and life in Cider Country on Richard Green's BBC Radio Devon show:
Who I'd like to meet:
Undead sociopaths. But if none of them are available, I'll take anyone who likes to read or write horror and fantasy fiction ;)
...Or anyone who feels an affinity with decaying zombies
...Or likes to dance around in their underpants
...Or plays MMORPGs when no one's looking
...Or sometimes wishes they were living in The Shire under the assumed name of Proudfoot
...Or... Oh, ok, I'll probably friend anybody ;) (As long as you promise to be interesting...)

Tangled in dreams chased by creatures in the night...the undead walk disembodied voices talk.....TICK TOCK a fingerless clock time stands still, blood runs down the rocks, spiders with heads of the dead LAUGHING,SCREAMING hands from the soil mind in turmoil. Doors that beckon me through I turn and run frozen on the spot as footsteps grow louder BANG BANG echoes everywhere, is something crawling through my hair ?...The sum of mortal fears is multiplied by things beyond normal thoughts...Lifes boundries swiped away as the tide of fear swamps all logical thought ! patience is the virtue of creatures created only in our heads ... we are on the slide to the final door and whatever lies beyond sleep well my friends but leave the light on...............
Of Course, that,s what they're there for! everywhere I've put the picture I've included your name and the book title.Do you have a page on Facebook too?
