music, singing, movies, theatre, the yankees, musical theatre, poetry, reading, new york city, intelligent conversation over late nite coffee, the occasional rowdy outbursts over late nite alcohol, concerts, lord of the rings, the beach, road trips, opera, the ren faire...the list goes on...
Music
I could never classify my favorite type of music. I like anything from Classical to Jazz, Classic Rock to 90's alternative (which was far better than mainstream radio today in my opinion.), Singer/Songwriter to Broadway. But I think my favorite stuff to sing and listen to is definitely found at a Renaissance pub sing or Celtic Festival.
Movies
They are fantastic. My favorites include but are not limited to 300, Fight Club, the Matrix, Beauty and the Beast, Snatch, Wedding Crashers, Old School, Pirates, Narnia, and most definitely the Lord of the Rings. *I'm aware that the last few on the list gear me towards being a nerd. I'm ok with that.*
Television
Um, yea. I watch way too much tv. DVR was a great idea. When the Yanks aren't on I'm usually caught watching LOST, Dirty Jobs, CSI, Family Guy, American Idol (I know! I can't help it. But only because of the few really talented ones.), House, or some documentary on the History Channel. Oh and Food Network cause I pretty much love to cook. I'm happy to say that I'm pretty damn good at it too;)...and Fraggle Rock needs to come back on air.

About me: Music. It's been my life since I started taking piano lessons at 4 yrs old. I was training classically in college until they decided that my education wasn't important enough without the cash! So now I just have to settle on selling music and movies so I can pay the bills and maybe finish someday. I still sing when the full-time hours allow. It is my passion, after all. And I do miss studying music terribly. But I find ways to reconnect *for slightly cheaper than thousands of dollars* by attending festivals, operas, and singing in local choirs. In the summer when I'm not singing or working I can tend to my other passions...the Renaissance Faire and the New York Yankees. You'd better believe that if I'm free I'll be in front of a tv tuned to the game. Or even better, at Yankee Stadium when the finances allow. Ask anyone who knows me...win or lose, til the day I die. *Yes, I am kind of a dude half of the time. Well, most of the time actually. Video games are fabulous. Especially Halo and Mario Kart. And I pretty much kick ass at both.* Ahem, anyway, as much as I love being on the east coast near NYC, I dream of being able to travel to Europe someday and get to experience the beauty and culture where my family is from. I think that I would feel much more connected there instead of being surrounded by drugs and violence every day in this terrible town. I've grown to realize over the past few years what really matters to me. Keeping the people you care about close to you is definitely the most important...cause God knows, we can't get through this world alone. And I really hope I never have to try.

Hey **Heather**, I just took this quiz, Which Will Ferrell Character Are You?. Check out my result on my profile, then go take the quiz and then see what you get!
hey hows the coco - nuts? still there? well if your in town should come check out my new rock band in endicott on may 1st should be a good time! hope your doing good and still being able to put up with the boss!
I am supposed to pick 12 women (who have touched my life) and whom I think would want to participate. I think that if this group of women were ever to be in a room together, there is nothing that would be impossible. I hope I chose the right twelve. My hugs, love, gestures and communications hopefully remind you how special that you are. Please send this back to me.Remember to make a wish before you read the prayer. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. Just send this to twelve people and let me know what happens on the fourth day. Sorry you have to forward the message, but try not to break this, please. Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. Did you make a wish yet? If you don't make a wish, it won't come true. This is your last chance to make a wish!'May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are.Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.'Now, send this to 12 women within the next 5 minutes. And remember to send this back. I count as 1...you'll see why.
right, i totally agree with everything that you are saying. teixiera is obviously the kind of guy that will go to the highest bidder. i am sure that boras would have poured enough poision in his ear to make him sign with the nationals if the price was right.
I totally believe that the red sox were just used to drive up the price for him but oh well. we get to keep mike lowell who is not only a quality player but also a quality human being.
the yankees have given up what, six draft picks now? thats completly rediculous. it will be two more when they sign manny.
in my mind, the yankees would be foolish not to resign pettite but it looks like its going that way. it would be great to see him in a red sox uniform....
To be perfectly honest with you, I saw this coming. It seems that this offseason spending spree your beloved Yankees have embarked on has screwed my Red Sox yet again.
I fail to see how this will help the Yankees in the long term though. They have had to give up how many draft picks will all this free agent signing/spending spree? How hard is that luxury tax going to hurt? And how is it that they spen this much money and then have the balls to ask for taxpayer money to help finish the new stadium?
You have been a Yankees fan for a very long time Heather, I would appreciate some insight here.
Yeah, my mom's birthday was Monday so we took her out Sunday night because Erik and I couldn't do it on Monday. My mom is more important than Alan. LOL
If yankee fans are going to boo A-rod for going 0-3 one day they are certainly going to have problems with Manny's antics.
Unfortunatly, Tampa has some pretty serious long term deals with most of thier players. I think they will be something to reckon with for a few more years until those deals are up.
I truly think that the Yankees will be back in force next year. They have tons of cash to blow, in fact, they have more surplus than some teams have for their whole payroll.
Should be a very interesting off season and an even better regular season.
Spending on big name players like that is what has led the Yankees to this point. Constantly going after big names at the expense of draft picks and farm system devlopment is the reason they missed the playoffs this year.
Anyway, I honestly think that Manny is the best right handed hitter in the game of baseball right now but I don't think NY is the place for him. I don't think that Yankee fans or management would tolerate his antics (on the field and off). I honestly would be very suprised if he went there. I see them as going after Taxiera (sp?) very hard and most likely getting him.
I dont mean to rub salt in the wound but you should give that article a read. It brings up several good points about how the Yankees orginization pretty much screwed themselves. It's everything I have been trying to say for a few years but better than I would ever be able to say it.
Heyyy!!!! How are you?? It seems like forever since I last talked to ya! What's happening these days? Still doing the "put the lime in the COCONUTS and drink it all up?" Lol.
Heather Jones, Whats going on my friend? Sorry for not responding back to you these past weeks, I have been preoccupied. But i just wanted to say Hi and also to tell you that i think you are great!
Just so you know...Joba starting is possibly the dumbest thing the Yankees could have done. They have NO ONE in the bullpen to step up to the spot he left open. And please tell me, who is going to replace Rivera in a few years? Complete idiocy all around I say. Your new skipper is half the manager Torre is. Things go on like this you are going to have a few long seasons ahead of you....
