J Yezza, born in Rotherham, is a UK rapper who has attracted the attention of Fila and Reebok! Both brands expressed interest in working with him on his 2008 release of "Fresh Kicks" on which he collaborated with Nem & Vex One.
His previous release of the "Playing The Fool" album, spawned 2 singles “Playing The Fool” and “Knocking On My Door” which recieved significant amounts of local radio play as well as being featured on Galaxy 105 and the BBC. Such achievements cemented his foothold in northern England as a force to be reckoned with in the UK hiphop scene and forged a strong relationship with both the media and venues.
So far he has performed alongside the likes of Lethal Bizzle, Akala, Skinnyman, Bashy, Wiley, Example (formerly of Mike Skinner of The Streets label "The Beats"), Roots Manuva & Tinchy Stryder, as well as performing as part of the same line up as Roll Deep and multiple household names in the Indie scene such as the Kaiser Chiefs!
2009 sees the return of J Yezza, as the summer release of his as yet untitled comeback album looms, he plans to further promote Fresh Kicks, which will be on Channel U soon in video format, as well as release a new single entitled "Push 4ward" by the time his album is released.
