It hardly works as a social networking site in that regard. You have to either already know the people you're adding, know them through someone else, or happen upon them in a group.

You know they're just doing their own version of what myspace has allowed people to do in spades (customize). Besides, they needed to do SOMETHING with the "is in your extended network" box. It's not like they created something entirely new; they just finally did something with something that just used to sit there doing nothing. I'm doing pretty good for the most part-- my love will be moving in with me August 28th. Whatcha gonna be doin in Cali, man?
