As far as my interests go, I love music, movies, reading, cooking, hiking, working out (I have become a bit of a gym rat) and spending time with family and friends....oh, and of course shopping (I am female after all). I really like to go see bands at bars/restaurants/clubs rather than concerts. I love being able to hang out with the bands after shows and making new friends that way.
Music
At the top of my list is my brothers band...Macgregor. The band may be on "extended hiatus", but Wax and Herbal T (my little brothers, really they are) are going stong. Other than them...just about anything.

Movies
I love all kinds. What I watch on a particular day or night, depends on my mood.
Ok, I admit it....I am addicted to romance novels. Not the modern day ones...but those all out historical ones. I also enjoy mystery and true story.
Heroes
This is such a vague category. My heroes include my parents, my brothers, my biological mother, and then go to the complete opposite side of the spectrum to include Christopher Reeve and anyone who makes a difference.
About me...hmmm...Well, I am 30 years old and the mother of a wonderful 11 year old boy. I currently live in St. Mary's County in Southern Maryland with my boyfriend and son. My friends would describe me as a very friendly and caring person. I have been told that I am funny and intelligent, honest and loyal. When it comes to my friends, I will go out of my way to help them. It is my belief that family is not made up of blood.... This is quite literal for me as I am adopted, so are my brothers (Venezualan/Irish) and my cousins (Chinese)....my family is a regular UN. To me family is made up of all the people you love...whether they are blood, adopted or friends. Ok, enough of that novel.
On a recent note, Cancer Awareness has become very important to me. I grew up knowing that I had a grandmother that lost her life to Kidney Cancer before I was even born. However, recently, it has touched my life again. Not in my immediate family. Someone very close to me, the man I love, lost his grandfather to Pancreatic Cancer. So, in support of those who have been touched by Cancer, I am posting the Awareness ribbons for the forms that have touched my life in one way or another.
Who I'd like to meet: I hope to meet some great new friends on here and reconnect with old ones. In my friends, I look for honesty and loyalty, intelligence, respect, trustworthiness.

HEY! Sorry it has taken me so long to catch up. Everythign has been ok here- not a fan of Florida and REALLY missing winter this year but what can you do. Thanks for the sweet comments :) I swear that thing is just growing away - it's exciting! I want to know what it will be so bad - it's a loooong wait. Probably just to me though. Matt is training for 2 1/2 months in cali so he won't even be here to find out the sex. They said they may fly him home for a 4 day weekend for V-day. I hope I know by then so I can surprise him.
