Music
I am not a music snob. I like almost everything. Including this.
Movies
The top 5 (in no particular order) Rocky, The Shawshank Redemption, The Empire Strikes Back, When Harry Met Sally, and of course, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Honorable mention goes to Breakfast at Tiffany's (or anything with Audrey Hepburn, really), any of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Anchorman, the Blues Brothers, Old School, and Sean Connery-era James Bond films.
Also, movies where the guy gets the girl in the end.
Television
Very little since the writer's strike started. Pardon the Interruption, The Daily Show, Friday Night Lights, the 6AM Sportscenter, nearly any MLB or NFL game. I have also recently become preoccupied with old westerns.
Books
Recent books: Reality Show by Howard Kurtz, The Great Gatsby, The Red Badge of Courage, "The Memory of Running" by Richard McNalty, "No Excuses"-Charlie Weis. All-time favorites include Lord of the Rings trilogy, Baseball books by Roger Halberstam, John Grisham legal thrillers, etc.
Heroes
My parents, my grandfather, Larry Bird, Kasey Kasem, Dick Clark, Bob Barker, Rocky Balboa, Paul Varjak

A bunch of other stuff you could care less about, 1989-1993
10. According to my parents, I taught myself how to write. Which explains why I have the world's worst handwriting.
9. My first girlfriend was the daughter of the Chief of Police in the town I grew up in. So my pattern of being a gentleman on a date is mostly because I was afraid I might end up on this show if I got too frisky.
8. Everyday words I have trouble spelling: “believe” (always switch the “I” and the “E”), “controversy” (keep thinking there’s another “e” in there somewhere), and “interested” (switch around the “e” and the “r” all the time).
7. I played bass clarinet in junior high. I quit music the next year when I discovered I would have had to march at the football games on Saturday.
6. I will not date girls who do not employ punctuation, write in all lowercase or uppercase, or generally do not follow the rules of grammar in their email. The English Language is slowly dying because we've all become too lazy to be well-spoken.
4. In a related note to #5, I had been drinking copious amounts of what I like to call my "special occasion drink" in both instances.
3. I have never been dating anyone on Valentine's Day. Though there have been several Little Red-Haired Girls in my life.
2. Have played exactly one hand of Canasta in my life. I won .
1. I have taken batting practice in Fenway Park. Remains the greatest day of my life, and since I am in no immediate danger of being married, will likely stay that way for a while.
Who I'd like to meet: Thoughtful, intelligent, good-hearted people who understand and appreciate my sense of humor and wouldn't mind hanging out from time to time.
I am so excited that you are planning on coming to my wedding! If you come out Thursday-Sunday you can join in on all the mini syracuse reunion fun. I think a game of A*@hole is in order. :)
i would agree with Tiffani about the validity of your bday because i also did bot receive a notice from Tommy Boy, but Oct 4th is the day that we have at least been pretending it was your birthday since we were kids, so unless you are secretly a robot like that kid in the movie D.A.R.Y.L. then happy freaking birthday bro....oh and for the record i called you on your bday and actually i acked manny to hit that homer for you too, so i am the best!
