Eric's Interests
|
| General | I have many things that I like to do and I am usually open to trying new things. However, I mainly just sit at home either watching TV, playing video games, and getting online. If my friends are doing something and they invite me, then I may go out with them though. That doesn't happen to often though. I like to play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). I'm not that good, but I'm beginning to get better at it. I also like to play card games, whether they are Magic or just Euchre, it doesn't matter to me. | | Music | I pretty much like all kinds of music. I mainly listen to country music (yee-haw!). However, I can listen to anything that has musical properties. My favorite three types of music, in order, are country, classical, and then probably jazz. I pretty much only listen to country music though. I get lots of classical and concert style music stuck in my head though. I'm a former band geek, so I really don't like to hear heavy metal, hard rock, or music in which it sounds like the singer is more like a yeller. | | Movies | I can watch almost any movie, from action to horror to chick flicks (sometimes I even get teary eyed). As long as the movie ACTUALLY has a plot then I'll watch it. I really like action-comedy movies though. Movies like Rush Hour, Lethal Weapon, and Serenity are some good examples. I also saw Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story (the Family Guy movie) and it was really funny. | | Television | I'm the kind of person who can almost literally find anything to watch on TV. Sometimes, I watch infomercials if they have something good on them. Mostly, I watch TV shows like Famiy Guy, American Dad, Futurama, The Boondocks, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Drawn Together, Smallville, Monk, Justice League, Teen Titans, Chappelle Show, That 70's Show, The Colbert Report, and Full Metal Alchemist, but if I can find something else that is funny (or at least somewhat interesting) then I'll watch that. I also like to play video games while I'm watching TV, I call it multi-tasking. It may sound like it isn't possible, but all I can say is "Thank God for the 'Last Channel' button and turn-based RPG's". | | Books | I hate to read. The way I see it, if God wanted people to read, he wouldn't have given us ears and he would have made letters fly out of our mouths whenever we spoke. Actually, I don't mind reading some things. I like the Harry Potter books and I like to read poems and short stories, but I just hate reading the crap they always made us read in school (whether it was textbook material or literature). I only liked about 10 books that I read throughout my 12 years of school (elementary, middle, and high school, I haven't had to actually read anything for college yet). Most of the time though, I would rather not read if I didn't have to. | | Heroes | My biggest hero is Seth MacFarlane. He is the creator of Family Guy and American Dad. If it wasn't for him, great cartoon characters like Peter Griffin and Stan Smith would never have made their way onto television. Seth MacFarlane does lots of voices for his shows, too. He does the voice for Peter Griffin, Brian Griffin, Stewie Griffin, Glenn Quagmire, and Tom Tucker on Family Guy. He does the voices for Stan Smith and Roger the alien on American Dad, too. If I had to pick another person as my hero, I don't know who I would pick. Seth MacFarlane may not have cured cancer or anything extremely important like that, but he's brought laughter into my life. No matter how depressed I get, I can always get a laugh by watching any episode of Family Guy. It may not seem like much to everyone else, but to me, it means a lot. I don't have much of a social life and so I spend a lot of time watching TV. It's because of great shows created by Seth MacFarlane and Joss Whedon (I can't believe I almost forgot the creator of Buffy, Angel, and Firefly/Serenity) that I have something that I spend time watching. |

About me:
Hi! My name is Eric. I am pretty much a nocturnal person. I stay up most of the night and I just hang out online or I play video games and watch TV. I don't like doing that much during the daytime hours because my eyes are very light sensitive and the sun is bright (see how smart I am? lol). Yeah, that last sentence was short bus special wasn't it? Open foot insert mouth. Anyway, whenever I'm on, I'm on AOL. My screen name is FamilyGuyGuru, but I also have another AOL sn (FHSDrummer2004). I'll give anyone a chance to talk to me. However, if I don't like you or you bother me (which is really hard to do), then I'll take your sn off my buddy list and it'll be a while until I accept another IM from you. For the most part though, I'm easy to talk to online (or in person for that matter). I can get along with ALMOST anyone. You have to get on my bad side REALLY fast for me to not want anything to do with you. I'm a pretty open person. I like to meet people online. As long as I'm not busy doing something online, then I am always willing to talk to someone. Anyone who wants to chat, just IM me or e-mail me (either on this site or on my AOL sn's). If someone e-mails me, I'll get back to you as soon as I read your e-mail. My life is an open book (for the most part).
