The only reason I feel compelled to write anything here is because my step brother Ryan committed suicide in March 07 and I witnessed first hand the struggle we all went through searching for answers. What was his favorite song? What was he reading? We were all searching for something in which we could connect with him again. That maybe in someway he could speak to us through his books and music. The funny thing is, I truly believe that he has. Before he died he bookmarked pages of books for us to read. We remember the songs he would dance to with his niece Maggie. Every little thing we find speaks to us. Maybe we are searching too hard and coincidences are just that, but even if they are, it is all that we have left of what was Ryan. So I would like to share a little bit of what I am with you.
I am a confident person, so bear with me my opinion of myself is going to be biased. I have a wonderful life, and I do not take this for granted. I am fully aware that not everybody has the same opportunities as I did, that’s why I gladly share my life and experiences with family and friends that I have met along the way. No I’m not rich, most of the time the only thing I have to offer is myself. So here I am; my smiles and laughter my tears and disasters for you view. My handshakes are firm and reliable and my opinion is respected (in my opinion). You could call me playful. I like to play in every sense of the word, from sports to cuddling in bed. I can be goofy when I dance and sing or surprisingly talented depending on the atmosphere and company I keep. I’m usually extremely laid back preferring to lead by example, but if the situation calls for a leader I will take charge and stand up for what I believe in. So what do I believe in? Ok I’m gonna try to do this without sounding like a song from the 80s. Here it goes: I was born in the USA. I believe in the power of love, and that heaven is a place on earth. I believe in me, myself and I cuz that’s my prerogative. I believe that with every breath you take you should never surrender. I believe that some guys have all the luck and that girls just wanna have fun. I believe that you should remember yesterday cuz you don’t know what you got til it’s gone. And lastly I believe you should never say goodbye just (this ones for Ryan) fuck the police! Ok , that was too much fun. I might have to add more to that later. Anyways, the truth is you've got to get to know me to understand me. It's as simple and as complicated as that.
