Heroes
As Bowie said, we (all) could be heroes, if just for one day.
About me: Jim was born in a hospital in 1980. Since then, he has gone on to do many wondrous things, such as take second place in his sixth grade geography bee. It could be said that Jim wears many hats. A decorated citizen, Jim was an accomplished athlete in high school, has toured the Midwest doing standup comedy, is a published author, a regular performer at The Second City & Improv Olympic, a cast member of the hit comedy Flanagan's Wake, a commercial actor, and the front man for "The World's Greatest Mediocre Cover Band," James and the Vanderbeeks. Check out the play that Jim wrote and starred in about his real-life brain tumor which debuted at The Second City: Brain Humor. Jim likes things, and he hopes you like things too. If you would like to get to know Jim better, drop him a line as he loves to talk to new people. Here is a rough cut of his demo reel:

This is a commercial for Nvidia that I shot last fall. Speaking in gibberish is one thing, but memorizing the gibberish you created and doing it exactly the same for tons of takes was pretty challenging.
Who I'd like to meet: I want to meet everybody...let's meet beneath the bleachers after school, okay?
I also am getting married in October! The 16th. He's an F-16 pilot, so who knows where that will take me : ) But for now, yes, I'm back in KS and happy about it. I'm so glad you're doing well out in LaLa land. You deserve it!

I saw you in the H & R Block commerical the other day and you would've thought I won something I was so excited!! I hope things are going well for you out in LA. You got any projects under way right now?
hi Jim! Long time, no talk - PS: really liked the H&R Block commerical!!! Quick question: my parents were hoping to call tonight and talk to you about "the industry" - my sister Brea got a call back to this modeling/acting thing and it's looking like she might get something. It came up really quick and they just had a few questions for you. If you aren't busy - they were hoping to talk to you tonight...I know it's short notice - but be on the look out for a Jack Carlson Family call. Thanks Jim and I will hopefully see you and Mags really soon!!!
Congrats for you both. Maggie's page wont load on my computer so you'll have to pass this on to her as well. Sorry Lauren didn't answer when you called. I told her to for the record.
