Being around my crazy family and my wonderful friends. Right now, Alexander and work get 99.9% of my time. He is at this great age where he can kinda keep himself entertained some... which frees up a little of my time! I love being a mom even though it is a lot of work. My husband keeps me laughing everyday. We made it throuugh some hard times, and our marriage has grown much stronger. My mom is the best mom that anyone could hope for. My sister Kristen is one of my best friends, and we love spending time with her, Paul, and Noah. My other little sister Briana has one of the best personalities of anyone I have ever met and is a joy to be around. We have best married couple friends in Robert and Lisa, who live nearby. We hang out with them nearly every weekend. Our friend Kevin has gay drama, haha. Kevin knows that I love him, so I get to make fun of him. I also love to read just about anything. I would take a book over watching TV any day. I love NFL football probably more than most guys that I know. I am also a junkie for roller coasters, waterparks, and road trips. I like to shop, sleep in (which happens on rare occasions these days), and to cuddle with Clayton on the couch while we watch TV together. I adore the beach, being out in the sun, and listening to music. I love to write as well, and my dream is to publish my own book one day. I also love grammar and words, which is probably why I am such a big dork and didn't get a lot of dates in my high school, haha.
You Are Sunshine
Soothing and calm
You are often held up by others as the ideal
But too much of you, and they'll get burned
I mainly listen to country music, but I like a little bit of everything. Some of my favorites are Rascal Flatts, Emerson Drive, Keith Urban, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Billy Currington, Jason Aldean, Gary Allen, Little Big Town, Keith Anderson, Big and Rich, U2, Boyz-II-Men, Usher, Linkin Park, 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Three Days Grace, Nickelback, most music of the 80's and 90's, and the list goes on and on and on.
Movies
I LOVE movies. Some of my favorites are Oceans 11, Save the Last Dance, The Butterfly Effect, Grease, Fight Club, Pretty Woman, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, Philadelphia, The Holiday, 13 Going on 30, and She's The One.... just to name a few, of course!
I never miss American Idol, Amazing Race, Deliver Me, Hell's Kitchen, Jon and Kate Plus Eight, Top Chef (thanks to Kristen for getting me hooked on that one), or I Love the 80's/90's on VH1. My all time favorite show is Friends, which I own every episode of. I love Sex in the City, Gilmore Girls, and older episodes of ER as well.
Take the quiz: Whats your Sex and the City character? Carrie Bradshaw You can be a little odd at times...but are greatly loved for it. Though you live in your own little world...many people listen to you and take your advice to heart. Though you can play the care-free party girl well....you are better fit as the quirky responisble girl.....with an addiction on shoes (or another clothing item)
I love to read! I pretty much read one book every two to three weeks. My favorite books are And the Band Played On by Randy Shilts, The Hot Zone by Richard Preston, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. I can add most things by John Grisham, Harlen Coben, Jodi Piccoult and Mary Higgins Clark to the list, too.
Heroes
My parents (especially my mom because she was a single mother for a while) and all of the brave men and women in the military, firefighters, police officers, and EMTSs.
About me: My name is Bethany Speed (formerly Bethany Adams). I am 26 and live in the small town of Seminary. MS (near Hattiesburg). I have a wonderful husband named Clayton whom I have been with for six years and married to for three years now. We went through a very tough time in our relationship, but I am hoping through love, God, and communication that we can go on to be together forever. We have a little boy named Alexander who is our heart and joy. Alexander is nearly 15 months old now!!! I can't believe it! He is my whole world, and I love him more than any word could describe. Being a mom is a lot of work, but it's the most rewarding job that you will ever have! Clayton recently landed a sweet job with Rimkus Consulting Group as a Fire Investigator. We had been praying that this oppurtunity worked out. Now, I can finally look ahead to quitting my job as a Wal-Mart Personnel Training Coordinator and finish my last two years in the education program. I am thrilled about the changes about to take place in my life as things will hopefully only get better from here!
You are a nurturer and all around natural therapist.
People see you as their rock. And they are able to depend on you.
You are a soothing influence. You can make people feel better with a few words.
Your caring has more of an impact than even you realize.
Who I'd like to meet: Peyton Manning, Tony Dungy, Bob Sanders, Drew Brees,Sarah Palin, JK Rowling, Jodi Piccoult, John Madden, John Grisham, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Jude Law. John Madden would be my top choice. If we have another son one day, I would like to name him Madden in honor of John Madden.
Your Dosha is Pitta
You have a quick mind, a gift for persuasion, and a sharp sense of humor.
You have both the drive and people skills to be a very successful leader.
Argumentative and a bit stubborn, you have been known to be a little too set in your ways.
But while you may be biased toward your own point of view, you are always honest, fair, and ethical.
With friends: You are outgoing and open to anyone who might want to talk to you
In love: You are picky but passionate
To achieve more balance: Be less judgmental of those around you, and take cool walks in the moonlight.
Compared to who you were ten years ago, you've changed a great deal.
In fact, you're probably in a completely different phase of your life - and very happy about it!
We played all kinds of phone tag today! I know I'm definitely going to be heading back up there March 14th for the Praxis II. Until then, not sure...pretty broke! lol Like no one knows what that's like...fail! :) I took a break from working out tonight, so I could study. Probably not a good idea since I'll be missing Tuesdays and Wednesdays once school starts...ahhhh!!! How's it going up there? This weather is so great!!!!
thank you for the bday wishes! my honey took me to phonecia's in ocean springs, very yummy! i see your little family is doing well, your baby is precious! i've been busy getting paperwork done to start travel nursing in california soon, so i'm excited! i gotta give you kudos for juggling being a mom, wife, working, & going to school! it's exhausting just typing it out! lol
How are you? We're all good. I like your Colts stuff on here. I actually got to fly to Indy back in 07- after they had won...I saw the stadium. I bought my kids and Tony Colts stuff. I like them too...How's everyone doing? Is Clayton back at work? Take care, write soon.

Yo! I'm glad she's ok! Wasn't she sick (like bad) on a Thanksgiving before?? Or was it another holiday? I think it was when you still lived down here...hmm...I know it was her or Jacob. Anyhow, glad she's doing better again!!
Very Crazy- can't believe he is one already...time has flown by since that baby arrived...My Andy turned 19 last month, Ashleigh 16 and Hunter turned 8- all in the month of September. That's bizarr to me...It seems as if time barely creeps by and then one morning you wake up and your babies are grown...or in the stages that you really wish they were. I think I have one in every category..I'm glad Clayton is at home and I know that you are. I can't imagine being away from Tony for that length of time..
