About me:
There Is Power In A Union (Live EP Version - Featuring The Pattersons) - Billy Bragg
I've been a standup comic for over ten years, performed in about 25 states, and worked with some of the funniest people you've never heard of, as well as some of the bigger names in comedy today. I have some pretty great friends who live way too far away from me. I play tin whistle, bodhran, spoons, bones, and beer trays (or whatever the hell else is laying around) for an Irish punk band called the Gobshites, as well as a more traditional Irish side project called The Eejits. Because the problem is obviously that I don't drink enough. I'm also dad to a pretty great kid who has managed to carve out a nice niche for herself despite my poor example. Through it all, I've managed to maintain my trademark dismal self-esteem and pessimism. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't pay me to perform standup at your venue or event, after all, this guy thinks I'm aces...
"At the National Speakers Association of New England, our members are exposed to top level national talent at all our meetings and functions. At our annual dinner, John Curtin not only met that criteria with his stand up comedy but kept us in tears (of laughter) for over 40 minutes. John's style and material rival any one you have seen on Jay Leno. You will do well to hire John for your next function".
Dennis Mahoney
President
National Speakers Association of New England
So I got that going for me...
