"Apocalypse Now", "Pulp Fiction", Ocean's 11. Rounders. Anything with well done pyrotechnics. It aint a flick till somebody dies.
"To Have and Have Not"...with Luaren Becall at her 19 y/o best. Wood boats, fishing and shooting out a spotlight at sea, nice shot!, kill a few Vichey and the worlds a better place...wonderful morals taught by Hollywood, hey they don't make movies like this anymore, such a shame.
After spending years bouncing around the coast on a small boat with a tight crew, I found "The Life aquatic" to have an unbelieveble number of "shipboard" subtleties. Small enuendoes that are understood only by those whom have lived that life. There is NOT one movie reviewer that has had those experiences and this fact was totally missed by ANYONE that wrote about this flick. So, for me, this simple comedy reached other layers and resounded unlike anyother celuloid reel.

About me: I've been around the block so many times....I'm fuckin dizzy! I'm still learning about me so, this is all subject to change. I'm a SWM. I spend a lot of time aboard my 40 foot Hatteras motor yacht that swamps kyakers and eco-conoers when running wide open. I'm doing my part for gobal warming, please do yours. I set records in high school with a rifle and got very good at shooting straight from a bouncing boat. I worked on long line fishing boats in the gulf of mexico in the early eighties. I worked coastal tugboats and got my first unlimited tonnage license in 1989. said "fuck this" and by GOD's grace I got sober in 1991. Went to NVCC to learn logic and physics. I rebuilt large wooden boats and owned a boat repair business. Then I ran fiber optic cable for miles. Now, I'm an "unemployed poker player"....as per Mary Smith :o)
After all these years, I've actually become a very sociable person. I work on a team, play poker at tables of people and sit in church basements with a group of folks. And yes, I swear just as much with my mouth as I do with my finger on this keyboard.
I'm a "stand up guy" and expect my friends to cover me, cuase I've got thier back. Belle Haven is heaven in Alexandria.
I'm back from Vegas and have no idea WTF I'm doin....so, I'll just keep working on my game....
