He has been a featured performer on the television show presented by the Reverend Dr. Barbara King's "Hillside Chapel and Truth Center" in Atlanta, GA. His first cassette single was released on Rhinoceros Records with two original songs written and produced especially for him. Jamie has served as Ministerial Assistant at "Way of Life Unity Center" in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, as well as President of the Board of Trustees for several years. His strong leadership abilities led him to successfully manage the Center's bookstore, serve as the Director of the Youth Education Program, serve as Platform Speaker, and teach Truth classes. Among his other activities, he has been the Executive Producer and Host of his own weekly television program, "Positive Living with Jamie Sanders" on the "BLAB" television network, broadcasting along the Emerald Coast and in the lower regions of Alabama. The live one-hour show was about people who make a difference, whether it is in their own back yards or in the world around them. The program featured interviews with such dynamic individuals as the Reverend Dr. Barbara King, author of the bestseller "Transform Your Life"; psychic Barbara Paulin, author of A.R.E.'s "Path of Promise, Path of Peace"; professional speaker and author Bert Carson; professional trainer and workshop facilitator Therese Godfrey; Alternative health educator Ginger Bowler of "Southern Herb Company"; and author/poet Willadeene Parton (Dolly's sister) author of the "Rutledge Hill Press'" bestseller "Smokey Mountain Memories." Jamie has also written monthly columns for "The Emerald Ladies Journal", "The Light", and several other printed and online publications, including "Horizon Magazine", "Awakenings" and "SpiritualAtlanta.com." An ardent seeker of Truth since early childhood, Jamie has studied under the instruction of the Rev. Marje Howard of "Way of Life Unity Center" in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Rev. Leona Evans of San Luis Obispo, California. He also credits teachers Rev. Dr. Barbara King, Edwene Gaines, Rev. Dr. Johnnie Coleman, Father Leo Booth, Rev. Norma Iris Rosado and Rev. Tom Thorpe for playing major roles in his spiritual unfoldment. Jamie has spoken and performed at churches and centers throughout the South, and as far away as Kingston, Jamaica. He has served as District President for INTA (International New Thought Alliance) for North Florida, the Georgia Coast, and South Carolina. He is an ordained New Thought Minister through "The Barbara King School of Ministry" in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Metaphysical Philosophies and is a Certified Pastoral Counselor. In May of, 2003 Jamie began serving as the Senior Minister of Unity Church of Christianity in Pensacola, Florida. Under his direction and dedication the church attendance has more than tripled, and the congregation's enthusiasm has soared. In 2006 he was accepted into The Association of Unity Churches Field Licensing Program to become an ordained Unity Minister. He served for several years on the Church Growth and Development team which is also affiliated with the AUCI, as well as hosting his own LIVE weekly radio program, Spirituality Today on the UnityFM Radio Network. In March of 2009 Jamie was fully ordained as a Unity Minister, and then in June of this year he was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association of Unity Churches International. He most recently served as the guest Unity minister at the historical Chautauqua Institute in Chautauqua, NY and will be one of the upcoming speakers at the International New Thought Alliance 94th World Congress in Chicago this coming August. Jamie's vision is to empower individuals to become more than they ever believed they could be. His ongoing theme of "Today is a new day" is influential in the day to day lives of many who hear his message. He is passionate and animated in his presentations, and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others

“A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.”
C.S. Lewis

Mahatma Gandhi

"I honor the place

we are One."

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
 Marianne Williamson

There is nothing to practice. To know yourself, be yourself.
To be yourself, stop imagining yourself to be this or that. Just be.
Let your true nature emerge. Don't disturb your mind with seeking.

Hi Jamie,
I wanted to leave you with 2 thoughts to start your week. The first is mine...
Look at this waterfall. Do you really have to think about it much to just know that it is beautiful and that's that? Just beauty as it was intended to be in this excellence of bliss that is all around, no need to notice details and start disecting your feelings about it and noticing all of the differences from rock to water, from water to trees, from color to color, from moving to still, etc.; see it as a whole accepting it as Divine Creation. When your mind starts noticing differences, it is time to shut your eyes and look again :) ~John
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A quiet mind is all you need. All else will happen rightly, once your mind is quiet. As the sun on rising makes the world active, so does self-awareness affect changes in the mind. In the light of calm and steady self-awareness inner energies wake up and work miracles without effort on your part.
~Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
You say grace before meals. All right. But I say grace before the concert and the opera, and grace before the play and pantomime, and grace before I open a book, and grace before sketching, painting, swimming, fencing, boxing, walking, playing, dancing and grace before I dip the pen in the ink.
"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. How holy are you who have the power to bring peace to every mind! How blessed are you who can learn to recognize the means for letting this be done through you! What purpose could you have that would bring you greater happiness?
You are indeed the light of the world with such a function. The Son of God looks to you for his redemption. It is yours to give him, for it belongs to you. Accept no trivial purpose or meaningless desire in its place, or you will forget your function and leave the Son of God in hell. This is no idle request that is being asked of you. You are being asked to accept salvation that it may be yours to give.
Recognizing the importance of this function, we will be happy to remember it very often today. We will begin the day by acknowledging it, and close the day with the thought of it in our awareness. And throughout the day we will repeat this as often as we can:
The light of the world brings peace to every mind through my forgiveness.
I am the means God has appointed for the salvation of the world.
