"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Just thought I would ask if you knew any actresses who would be reliable to possibly be in the Rossana Jeran/Darktrain collaboration project?
I put a comment on the IFC myspace page, pending approval, but we intend to hold auditions next weekend May 10th-11th, in the Westport area. (Still waiting to see if the Coffeehouse will be okayed by the owners.)
Anyway, sorry to hit and run your page, but you know how production is....Looking to shoot in June early July...at least one taped rehearsal and at least one readthrough are the plan as well.
YOU BEST ATTEND!!!!!!!! If you can't - please tell everyone you know in NYC to get tickets.
“Steve Balderson is American cinema’s best-kept secret.” - MJ Simpson, UK
“Balderson comes off as a level-headed realist who has deep artistic aspirations but who never forgets that you need to budget what you film while keeping in mind the size of the audience you’re aiming for. It’s a damn shame that no one seems to have paid serious attention to the kid from Kansas, because guys like him who understand both art and finance the way he does don’t fall out of trees.” - Film Threat
Dude totally miss you too! Heard the shoot went well today! Yeah!!! I will see you Weds. I am sick AND the in-laws are in town...need I say more to gain your sympathy....
Well… I stumbled upon my albums that I produced years ago. But they have come back into my life now at the perfect time. I’ve loved listening to them these last few days. It's just like getting your old journal or diary out and re-reading it... It's simultaneously incredible and horrifying.
There’s just something so perfectly timed about finding them again now. I’d love it if you’d all go add the profiles and listen to the songs, and leave me a comment about them if you want to share your experiences.
My first record, “Dopamine: Hypothermia” was made in 1999, when the planets were aligned in the same way they have been this last week or so. That profile is http://www.myspace.com/dikengarecords
The second record, “Bleeding From The Wall” was made in 2002, just before we made “Firecracker.” So you can guess that one is full of a lot of darkness. That profile is http://www.myspace.com/bleedingfromthewall Be sure to listen to the entire songs because some of them change half way through - like INSANE ABOUT ME, one of my favorites.
OR – you can find them by going to my friends group. The music profiles are the first two.
