Archaeology, osteology: how nutritional deficiencies are reflected in skeletal material; teeth are of special interest (know what enamel hypoplasia is? totally weird pathology-well, I guess all pathologies are weird...), cooking, gardening (stuff I can eat most especially), beer, dancing, reading, meeting strangers and making them laugh. Helping people whenever I can. Laughing whenever I can. Learning whenever I can. | | Music | pretty much anything that isn't country or mariachi (did I even spell that correctly?)
Led Zeppelin, Erlend Oye, Erika Badu, Aesop Rock, Lyrics Born, Sade, Kings of Convenience, Bjork, Thievery Corporation, Aceyalone, The Postal Service, Blackalicious, The Smiths (because I'm part Mexican and everyone knows Mexicans have a hard on for the Smiths), Prince, Pre-Molestation Micheal Jackson, James Brown, Al Green, Barry White, Ella, etc... | | Movies | I am a cheese ball and love, "the notebook," "sense and sensibility," (can you tell what gender I am?) "Monty Python's....[whatever]," "shaun of the dead," "pan's labyrinth," "office space." | | Television | national geographic, history, discovery and comedy central are the only reasons to ever watch t.v. "Scrubs," is the funniest damn show out there, can I get a witness? I also love the "Colbert Report," "the Daily Show," "chapelle show." | | Books | What's a book? (just jokes, don't freak out) I like non-fiction books about other cultures and sub cultures within our country, and science books!!!! Weeeeee! Science!
Do you ever get stuck on a book- but refuse to quit? The frigging "Omnivore's Dilemma" is such a book for me- I've been "reading" it for 4 months. a metaphor is a club downtown, wine in a box is classy, lil' John is a musician, a woman does not have the right to choose, the earth is 10,000 years old, Star magazine is a good source of news, video games are an acceptable hobby (except for Curt of course, because he is ultra-nifty and totally loves video games, and doesn't like cheese, but I still think he's supa-fly! Bzzzz.), and your favorite movie is "Mi Vida Loca." (You might ask yourself, "self, really, is that someones favorite movie?" And I shall answer you, unfortunately, yes. It is. I know, I totally projectile vomited when I saw this girls page, and then I hit the "deny" button lickity-split, for I feared that some of her bad taste would leak on me...But I'm totally not a bitch.)

Who I'd like to meet:
people who listen to NPR!!!!! people who eat exotic foods: pho, snow pea leaves, stuff with coconut milk in it or mint leaves- swarma!!! And OF COURSE, pico affine!
people that make things: furniture, art, babies- wait, no, not so much them... people that try new things: foreign-country-visitors, get-on-a-motorcycle-people, stand-on-head-people, go-on-a-hike-people. Use-big-words-correctly-people. Wine-beer-snob-but-not-snobby-people. People that do NOT work 100 bijillion hours a week. (= unimaginable unhappiness)
People that tip well and say "thank you." People that give a shit about the environment, animals, and other people.
