"Jennifer has a sweet, soothing voice and has a way of simply expressing herself. It is no wonder why fans say they can relate to her songs" - (Podfeeder)
"Remarkable songwriting" - (Independents Only)
"This record would be of interest to anybody who likes folk music, and possibly to Country fans as well." - (Now On Tour)
“Jennifer Richman is a talented singer/songwriter with a soulful voice, clearly full of emotion.” - (CDBaby)
"Jennifer Richman is an independent singer/songwriter whose first CD, Flowers of Gold, was released in January 2006 without the help of a major studio. The music mostly straddles the line between folk-rock and light rock, with a bit of country thrown in. Jennifer's talent seems to mostly be found in the vocal and songwriting departments...Jennifer's vocals are very pleasant. The production quality is good, which isn't always the case for independent CDs. Jennifer's website has some snippets of her music, but to hear the songs in their entirety, you will have to purchase the CD." (Rambles.net)
Jennifer Richman is a New York born and raised singer/songwriter who is about to release her new single, “Beautiful Girl”, produced by Mike Rogers (Deee-Lite - Groove is in the Heart, Chubby Checker - All the Best & Knock Down the Walls). As a songwriter, her strengths are notably lyrical composition as well as a knack for writing effective “hooks” which are memorable and pleasing to the listener. Her lyrics communicate delicate global themes of experience and perception expressed with simplicity and uplifting style. She performs live with her three piece band or solo, accompanying herself on both acoustic guitar and piano.
FLOWERS OF GOLD was self-released in January 2006, co-produced by Marcus Wolf and Phillip A. Jimenez, featuring tracks such as "Beautiful Girl" - about finding beauty in the self and "Better Days" - not giving up hope during the hard times. It is avaliable online at: Cdbaby.com/cd/richman. Tracks and live performances off the album have been featured at several radio stations including Z100FM (NY), WECS (CT), Sirius Satellite Radio, as well as multiple international podcasts with emphasis on Oriental Asia and Europe. Live performances include national festivals such as SXSW and well known NYC venues such as The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Southpaw, and The Cutting Room.
When not in the studio, writing, or performing, Jennifer helps children with Autism speak through music, organizes and directs concerts for the disabled in the NYC area, and is a guest lecturer at Columbia and Downstate Universities about Autism and the benefits of music in rehabilitation.
