| General | I'm an avid Harry Potter fan, a cross stitch and knitting fanatic, and an advocate for shelter pets--come on, I'm the proud owner of a shelter cat and a 3 footed lizard, is it really that much of a surprise? | | Music | Pretty much classic rock. Sometimes something new slips in but I'll take the Stones or Clapton over anything modern. HUGE 80's fan (as all 80's children should be) and love most musicals. | | Movies | Getting better at actually going out to movies now that I have steady income lol. Huge horror and chick flick fan. Those have to fulfill my plot needs in order for me to rent/see them though. And yes, STILL have an innate fear of the music and the witch from "The Wizard of Oz". Don't ask lol | | Television | Well, in Iowa I had no life and watch lots of TV. Jim has um,boring and his ahem, squemish tastes, I've limited myself. Still can't give up House and Grey's, of course. LEARNING to make room for Family Guy... *grumbles* | | Books | J.K Rowling will forever have a special place in my heart :-)
Kurt Vonnegut (RIP) will always remain my all time favorite, Galapagos in particular. Very rarely read non-fiction and I can't stand those sappy books on Oprah's list (most of the time) | | Heroes | I'm inspired by my family, friends and pets :-) I would be nothing without them. As much as I tend to be peeved off about something, I can always depend on the people in my life to be there for me and support me through it all. And something must be said for the comfort that my gray furball gives when I've had a long day and tiny imprints on my neck when Harry snuggles up. |

About me:
Hiya. I am a small animal associate veterinarian working with the Banfield organization in the greater Baltimore area. Graduated from Iowa State University in 2007 and ran back to Baltimore so damn fast. Clearly not a mid-west type of girl lol
Truly love my life. Love being back in MD, even if I have to sit in traffic. Love being near Jim, nice to see him every day and not every 4 months or so. Love my job, you can't beat new puppies and kittens on a daily basis. Only regret is that my sister lives 4 hours away so I can't see my niece as much as I want to.
