Interests

  • General

Reading, writing, painting, collecting dolls, cooking, roller derby, sarcasm, tattoos, art, philosophy, music, Macs, snakes, irony, being a Wii ninja, always saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, being clumsy, basketball, Sea Monkeys, painting, 80s movies, cheesy horror movies, Converse, comfortable faded jeans, cute underwear, useless trivia and space age polymers.
  • Music

I listen to just about everything (except country) and my iPod is always on shuffle - stuff like the Fratellis, Snow Patrol, Eric Hutchinson, Duffy, Gladys Knight (with or without the Pips), Ida Maria, Miss Li, Ingrid Michaelson, Superdrag, Athlete, Bailey Tzuke, Social Distortion, Rooney, Paolo Nutini, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Otis Redding, Damien Rice, Stevie Wonder, Kanye West, the Killers, Kay Hanley, Tegan & Sara, Lucy Woodward, Elvis Presley, Elvis Costello, Mr. T Connection, Lo-Tel, Bryan Ferry, the Bangles, Operation Ivy, Lady GaGa, Meiko, Beastie Boys, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Buzzcocks, Dead Milkmen, Nirvana, Howard Jones, and many many more... never the same thing for long because I can be terribly fickle, but really, anything I can make an ass out of myself singing along to in the car
  • Movies

I like lots of movies, preferably comedy, usually dorky - stuff like Hot Fuzz, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Juno, Whip it, Zombieland, Valley Girl, O Brother Where Art Thou, Oceans 11, Bringing Up Baby, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Pillow Talk, Please Don't Eat the Daisies, An Affair to Remember, To Catch a Thief, Gladiator, Better Off Dead, Legend of Billy Jean, Pretty in Pink, Pump Up the Volume, Heathers, Legend of Billy Jean, Just Friends, Mean Girls, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
  • Television

Dead Like Me, Chuck, In Plain Sight, Psych, Nip/Tuck, The Office, 30 Rock, Burn Notice, The Sopranos, Dirt, House, Simpsons, Family Guy, CSI, Sons of Anarchy, Daily Show, Colbert Report, and, shamefully, American Idol
  • Books

You mean other than stuff that I've written? I'll read just about anything, but I tend to lean towards biographies, philosophy, cookbooks, science-y stuff and some junk chick lit.
  • Heroes

Wonder Woman, Monica Lewinsky, Jeannie Buss, Judy Blume, Maya Rulz.

About me:

So, I write and stuff, but can never seem to come up with a clever, yet introspective, bio that perfectly encapsulates my personality for these lame social networking things... I don't know, what are you supposed to know about me? I'm kind of goofy, rarely serious, generally sarcastic, a little too candid for my own good, I never answer my phone, I never say the right thing, I never leave well enough alone, I like getting emails, I'm a terrible friend (seriously, I'll forget your birthday every year) and there aren't a whole lot of things I'd rather do than take pictures.

and my favorite quote is: "The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are the things you get ashamed of because words diminish your feelings - words shrink things that seem timeless when they are in your head to no more than living size when they are brought out." - Stephen King (I know, right?)

..

Who I'd like to meet:

I don't know, I guess I'd like to meet anyone who could keep me entertained for five or six minutes - is that too much to ask?
