Really narrow. Games, psychology. Philosophy, without the vast ridiculous bloated pretension that goes along with saying that. (Well, without some of it.)
Music
Trip hop, drums and bass, other common stuff. Not classical, not rap, not R&B.
Did you know that nobody really reads the wall of text of bands you listen to but you? *grin* Did you read my wall of crap? It goes both ways!
Movies
Run Lola Run, Strange Days, Ghost in the Shell, Reservoir Dogs, Boondock Saints. Those are good... I also like a lot of comedies.
Television
Conan O'Brien, My Name is Earl, Seinfeld. Those three are great. I watch Friends, the L word, Sex and the City, Leno, and various other stuff I'm marginally embarrassed to mention I enjoy.
Books
Alice in Wonderland, The Tao of Pooh, Sabriel, Dealing with Dragons, Harry Potter. Being and Time, although I'll never actually finish the damn thing. I adore Neuromancer.
About me: Recently I started hitting people with sticks wrapped in foam again. Old hobby I've missed. Fun stuff.
In a nutshell, I want to be a social psychology professor. Many stereotypes probably apply. I play dungeons and dragons. Many of those stereotypes apply, too. I play a lot of world of warcraft. etc. I love my dorky hobbies and friends.
I play tennis rarely, I DDR sometimes, I drink water, I don't eat babies, I forget to shave sometimes.
I enjoy sitting around with friends or family doing very little, playing games, etc.
I like talking about religion but not politics.
I figured it would be fun to just say what aspects of common fictional characters I identify myself with, because people can probably relate to it better. (Or, at least, if I wasn't me, I'd get me more easily through this than something else. Maybe.) Alphabetical, generally.
Alice (from Wonderland, curiosity, quiet inquisitiveness, quietly stubborn.) Alice (from the L word, a bit frantic while confused.) Lisa (from the Simpsons, somewhat of a know-it-all, enjoys explaining things, tolerant.) Chandler (from Friends, somewhat androgynous, self-deprecating [but when it's amusing rather than pitiful], momentarily frantic while frustrated, sometimes making jokes when you really shouldn't.) Lola (from Run Lola Run, love can do anything -- sorta needs the movie's context though.) Earl (from My Name is Earl, thinking everything can be undone.) Kramer (from Seinfeld, weird pipe dreams [but I don't follow through with attempting them,] somewhat detached.) Pooh (generally calm, intuitive, unassuming, go with the flow, doing what you want rather than what you "ought" [w/ regards to non-ethical situations.]) Piglet (worried about strange things, loyal.) Gonzo (odd for odd's sake, kind.) Kermit (apologetic.) Doug (from Doug, insecurity although in the end self-assured -- more hesitant, really] thoughtfulness.) Seinfeld (thinking too hard about the mundane.)
HEY YOU i just was reading your survey from my bulletin board or whatever they call it and i noticed at the bottom of the bulletin there are two options "reply to poster" and "delete from your friends". man! how bad could a bulletin be that you'd say, we are NO LONGER FRIENDS?!?! and i'm thinking, well, i didn't delete james after the RAPEBEAR thing. anyways. i missed your birthday but i thought about you since it was, you know, the day before PATRIOT DAY. at least it's a holiday with a purpose ;)
Dear James,
You died. I miss you. I want to drink vodka and play tetris and rub it in your face how amazing I am at both.
Call me!
P.S. I now take my cat for walks.
Sorry, but the message below made me think of this...did you know that at East Peoria Schools we are now (and I quote) "cracking down on 'the gothics'"??? oh yes, it's true. we are going through a hard core crack down. garlic and stakes through the heart and everything. yep.

i just went in to the download file from aim...HOLY CRAP!! WHAT IS ALL THIS STUFF!! i forgot that for a long time i had it on "auto accept" files. i didn't even know about some of this, but when i see a goth mix of a garbage song... I KNOW WHO IS TO BLAME. also, the phrase "razed in black mix" sounds kind of cool.
