About me: -I've been a vegan since 1990.
-I believe that people should be able to live their lives as they see fit as long as their actions are not harmful to other [humans, animals, the environment].
-I have friends from all walks of life and ages and of varying political/religious backgrounds.
-Learning to be comfortable with my flaws while still growing....it's a life-long process.
-I try to maintain a certain amount of skepticism while remaining open-minded.
Who I'd like to meet: my kitty Olivia. She disappeared on August 16, and I've been looking for her ever since. Please see more about her here:

Hey Gabriel, Thanks for the request. Here is a list of upcoming AFA events.
1) First up is our emergency anti-fur demo against Sakowitz Furs on Saturday (Jan. 17) from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Driskoll Hotel (604 Brazos Street). We were contacted a couple of days ago by several of our members informing us that Sakowitz Furs is having a huge fur sale at the Driskoll. After making sure that we had resources lined up to do a short-notice demo, we decided to proceed. Like the auto industry, the fur industry is have a difficult time selling their luxury fur coats thus the big fur sale at the Driskoll. Join us for this demo at we try to put more of a dent in fur sales. Parking is free and plentiful on weekends in downtown Austin.
You can also call the Driscoll and tell them to stop support the fur industry. You can call manager John Spomer at 474-5911 or email him at jspomer@destinationhotels.com. Please be polite and brief. You can also email Sakowitz Furs www. sakowitzfurs. net/contact. htm. Tell them it's a good time to get out of the fur business. 2) Following the anti-fur demo, join us at our core group meeting at Spiderhouse (2908 Fruth, behind I Luv Video on Guadalupe) from 12 noon - 1 p.m. We'll be talking about doing lots and lots of outreach at the many spring outdoor music and arts events in the area. Help us organize and plan those events.
3) On Monday, January 19th, AFA will be tabling at the MLK Festival at Huston-Tillotson University. We'll be there from 11am-3pm. This is a great event for us to reach a community we don't often get to target. The weather will be beautiful and due to the election of Barack Obama, the crowds are expected to be the biggest ever. We need your help to get valuable vegetarian starter kits and other literature in every one's hands. Call us today at 236-9518 to help. No experience necessary.
I don't know if we'll be able to make it. My band is in the studio right now, and I have to go in Friday & Saturday to record guitar... So, it all depends if I finish everything early on Friday, but that is pretty unlikely.
well, I bet someone picked her up thinking she was a stray and took her as their own cat. Just try to think of it that way. If someone saw my cat Basil they'd steel him. He's so friendly with strangers.
I will tell him you said hi. Any word on Olivia? I don't know what I'd do if I lost one of our little monsters. I put pictures on my page. The orange and white one was mine originally and the other two were Michaels. Now they're all mine. lol
Gabe is a vegan-merch whore. Vegan the breakfast cereal, Vegan the lunchbox, and of course Vegan the Flamethrower. Absolutely fabulous! Latinos forever!
