So... how would you feel about getting re-involved with Snowball again this fall? I've been thinking about doing it again (; and being an adult staff member, even if I don't feel much like an adult :), but in order to do that I have to participate in another one. Any-who, I contacted Spike (who coincidentally shares Emerson as a middle name) and the fall snowball this year marks the 50th anniversary of the weekend. Wouldn't it be fun to go on it again?? He promised to pass information along to me... and I thought what is Snowball without Trace? I mean SERIOUSLY... I could use my warm fuzzy buddy. I believe he said it was Nov 2-4. Can you make it? Wow- i think you're definitely on to something! You're right about the items/artificats needed to "cast a circle" in anciet druidic or wiccan rituals- there is a Sword (usually fire- bravery/strength, Gryffindor), a Cup (water, peacefulness a passion), a Stone of sometype-easily a locket (Earth, power and riches), and a Wand or Staff (air, intelligence)! These would easily have been the same item used by 4 ancient wizards, plus even what they saw as valuable represent the four different elemental corners/directions. Even some of the animals used in their house banners fall into this symbology (air-raven, earth-snake, the other two not as much, but they represent the general idea). So many pieces are falling into place!
