The poetry of E.E. Cummings, Pablo Neruda, Mary Oliver and Rainer Marie Rilke, books best kept in bed, tangled up in the sheets next to you. The prose by Michael Cunningham, A. L. Kennedy, C.S. Lewis, and the authors of all the books from college that are about to collapse my shelves. The standard music rags and whatever is on the back of the cereal box. I believe we HAVE to read to keep our parts and pieces gripped in tight to our own ribs, to stay supple and human, to be whole. I have started writing a book now. It might be absolutely worthless. It might be good. We'll see.
About me:
Things which make me happy, get me giddy, or keep me otherwise amused: left over mexican food for breakfast, gritty black and white photography, listening to local bands while getting tipsy and stepping on other people's toes (because I like to salsa dance even if it isn't salsa music), modern art museums, London, borrowing a book from a friend with their own notes in the margins, the kind of college friends that will sing Jose Cuervo loudly and off key at my own wedding, the UPS man knocking on the door to deliver a package, love, expectation, and Excedrin (god, I love exedrin). I would expand, but what else does a human being need??
Things that disappoint me daily: my own driving, insomnia, and inability to ever wear matching socks.
Who I'd like to meet: Those who are clever, long-winded or well-read. People who can tell a good deadpan joke, play a musical instrument, handle life with either grace or sarcasm, stay up as late as I do, or can teach me how to hold a martini glass upright. Gamblers. Latin dancers. Crossword puzzle writers.

I was actually under the assumption that you should become something a little better suited for you. I mean you don't have any muscles, and brains are pretty much useless. Use your looks, become a prostitute, we could call you a harlot so it doesn't sound so bad.
Why haven't I seen you in months? Sure, it could be that I haven't contacted you...we should sit by the pool one weekend and make drinks with outrageously long umbrellas
So I have to ask, what are you going back to school for, where are you going, and when do you start? oooh oooh also, Are you excited? Inquiring minds want to know.
