That's enough for now. | | Music | I'll admit to liking everything from Britney Spears, Pink, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, John Denver, Willie Nelson, Coldplay, U2, Pink Floyd, Rush, Queen. Basically, if it played on the radio pre-2002. After that, I gave up. | | Movies | While my focus has been on horror for the past couple years (I've now seen over 1,500 horror films and monster movies), I do have a wide and devoted appreciation to cinema in general. I've seen all the Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor winners, and am now working on the Best Foreign Film Oscars. I like the prestige pics, the cult faves, the films that people say "you gotta see this." I'm not big on most Hollywood-based comedies. Well, honestly, I'm not big on Hollywood most of the time, but every once in a while, something good sneaks through. | | Television | Haven't watched TV in about 10 years. I do like the old Twilight Zone reruns and Monty Python. But I have those on DVD. | | Books | Used to read a fair amount of fiction, but lately its been a lot of cinema reference books. My top 5 fiction books would be:

Who is this Dr. AC of which you speak?
Well, I used to be Aaron Christensen, aspiring Chicago actor. Now I'm Dr. AC, hopeless horror movie nerd-cum-Ambassador of Horror. Luckily, the Chicago theatre community has not banished me from their midst, despite my inability to talk about anything but monsters that pervade, aliens that invade, creatures of the night, vampires that bite....There I go doing it again.

Who I'd like to meet:
Cool cats who love the entire horror genre are the best. But there is also something to be said for those who have given themselves slavishly to one particulare subgenre. What can I say? I'm easy.
Oh, yeah, and anyone who wants to pick up a horror movie guidebook in this cyber-age. Cuz I've got a doozy just waiting for anyone who's willing....
