Co-founders JR Lee, guitarist/vocals/songwriter and Daniel Bruehl guitarist/songwriter met while in their twenties. "We were at a concert in my hometown," Bruehl recalls. "During the opening group we met thru mutual friends and later the members of my old band decided to invite JR to play, it took no time at all before JR was singing for us. I was pretty much blown away, so we asked him to join a band with us." Since that day, the musical relationship has remained dependably loyal. "We have the same exact vision regarding what we love about music," JR says. "When it comes to song writing, we finish each other's thoughts." On working with Daniel, JR Lee says that they dove into a new realm together. ..We wanted to give the band a unique sound... ..It..s like taking the Deep Purple keys and combining it with a mixture of Seattle ..Grunge.. and Tool's groove. We think it is pretty cool...

Die beiden Bandgründer J.R. Lee (Gitarre/Gesang/Songwriting) und Daniel Brühl (Gitarre/Songwriting) begegneten sich in in ihren 20ern. ,,Wir spielten als Vorgruppe bei einem Konzert'', erinnert sich Daniel. ,,Als dann die tot langweiligen Headliner spielten, wurden wir durch gemeinsame Freunde bekannt gemacht. Jahre später haben sich die Jungs aus meiner alten Band dazu entschlossen, J.R. zu einer Jam-Session einzuladen . Es dauerte nicht lange, bis er seine Stimme auspackte. Mich hat's ziemlich umgehauen, also haben wir ihn gefragt, ob er bei uns mitzuspielen will." Von diesem Tag an gab es diese zuverlässige, musikalische Verbundenheit. ,,Wir haben die selbe, genaue Vorstellung über das was wir an Musik lieben", sagt J.R.: ,,Wenn es ans Songwriting geht, denken wir die Ideen des anderen zu Ende.'' Bei der Arbeit mit Daniel, sagt JR. Lee, tauchten sie zusammen in neue Sphären ein. "Wir wollten der Band einen einzigartigen Sound geben." ,,Es ist als nehme man die Keyboards von Deep Purple und kombiniert sie mit einer Mischung aus ,,Seattle Grunge'' und dem ,,Groove'' von Tool. Wir denken, dass es ziemlich cool klingt
The Told's been writing new material constantly. As a look into the future we have recorded what will eventually become our new album. Only difference is that we did this from a cheap home studio, not a studio that will capture great sound or what we what from the songs. The Album will be called "Revelation" and have 11 tracks on it. We hope that we will be able to record it in the near future and bring this out to you all real soon because this new stuff is absolutely amazing.
