The offspring of an Irish mother and a West Indian father, she’s had to deal with racism, sexism, and molestation throughout her lifetime. She has rallied for AIDS awareness, been the voice for the indifferent, and the misunderstood, and put her energy and talent into educating the public regarding safe sex. Jessica Holter, AKA Ghetto Girl Blue. She’s a combination and product of the experiences she’s had, the pain she’s endured, and the survival skills she’s learned was imperative to maintain. Far from your ordinary poet, wife, mother, performer, and entrepreneur. Ghetto Girl Blue encompasses the wisdom of your grandmother, the cutting edge of the girl next door, and the confidence of a mature, seasoned woman who knows what she desires, and boldly goes after it.
