Anna was born on August 5th 1981, in Adelaide, South Australia. At age 5 her mother died, leaving her to grow up with her father, Jim, and brother, Willy. Anna was always involved in sports and at age 13 she began to play golf. For Anna sports and school were her main priorities. Then at the age 16, Anna was a finalist in the Australian "Dolly" Magazine cover contest. This began her modeling career on the catwalk, in print ads, and on television. In 1999, Anna was selected to be on the Australian National Senior Squad. She was the leading qualifier of the Australian Amateur and won both the South Australian and Victorian Junior championships. In July, Anna won the Jack Newton International Junior Classic and was selected to be a member of the South Australian Senior State team. What is remarkable is that Anna achieved all of this without coaching. Although highly involved in her sport, she graduated High School with a territory entrance rank of 94.05 out of a possible 99.95. In early 2000, Anna competed in the Australian Open, where the University of Southern California recruited her for a golf scholarship. The highlight of Anna's collegiate career was helping her team win the first golf national championship in USC history. In October 2003, Anna was invited to the White House where she met President George W. Bush, and found out first hand that his golf game was "very average". Anna graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a minor in Fine Arts, receiving the Pac 10 scholar athlete award 3 straight years. For the first time, Anna dedicated herself to golf full time and started working with a professional golf coaches. Today she credits her coaches, full time swing coach Dana Dahlquist and short game specialists Dave and Ronnie Stockton, for helping her take her game to the next level. She finished top ten in her first professional event, 5th in the Orient Masters in China, and qualified for the Futures Tour with ease. During her first season on the Futures Tour Anna had two top 10 finishes, and was ranked 22nd in scoring average for the year. In November of 2005, Anna traveled to Spain to the Ladies European Tour School where she qualified in 3rd place, and earned her 2006 tour card. On the European Tour Anna had 5 top ten finishes and 8 top twenty finishes, and a lowest round score of 67. In 2007, with a top twenty finish at Q-school, Anna qualified for the Ladies Professional Golf Association. Off the course Anna continues to model for corporate campaigns, high-end brands, and fashion magazines. Her interest in fashion led her to become the spokeswoman and assistant creative director for the J.Lindeberg women’s golf line. Anna is also a syndicated columnist, producing her own original content in monthly features for over 15 golf magazines in more than 20 different countries worldwide. As a 2008 member of the LPGA, Anna expects to improve the quality of her game while raising the profile of women's golf. She hopes to be successful tour player and personality while combining golf with her many other interests.
