Since exploding on the country scene with his first single, the uplifting "One Voice," and his million-plus selling debut album of the same title, Billy Gilman has been relentless in his pursuit of his musical dream.

Also dubbed the "pint-sized prince of country" with his spectacular performance of "Roly Poly" at the ACMs in 2000, the Rhode Island native took country music by storm. His multi-platinum "One Voice" album was followed by a Christmas album that went Gold. After three more CDs and a vocal rest, Billy, in September 2006, released his self-titled album that he says really brought him back to country music. He continues to amaze and inspire people around the world with his powerful voice and lyrics that have truly made him a star.

As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country. But, it too, seemed immovable. As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it. And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed my self first, then by example I would have changed my family. From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.
